Who's Faster Davey or Judd,

Davey's quicker across the field, but Judd is more likely to leave people in his wake, because even if you grab him, he will swat you away and leave you grasping at air.

Judd's pace for a guy that is 189cm and 85kgs is incredible, whereas Davey, as much pace as he has, will be brought down by bigger players if he collides with them. Judd doesn't meet many midfielders with bigger bodies than him.

Weight wise Judd would would meet many bigger bodies. Using my team as an example Mclean is 86kg, Sylvia 86kg, Moloney 88kg and Bate 90kg all weigh more than Judd who is listed as 82kg despite being 189cm.

I think you'll find that if you weighed them against each other, Judd would weigh more.

What he's listed at isn't really relevant - They haven't changed his listed weight since he was drafted.

I'm pretty sure Tenace did sub 11 seconds when he first arrived at Geelong. Not sure now. People forget Deledio won the sprint in 2005 pretty easily. Davey and Judd have explosive bursts, but over 100 metres other guys might have them covered.

Judd is faster off the mark, he has the best acceleration in the league (or close to it). Over a longer distance Davey would be quicker though.

So Judd has never been tackled then? What a stupid comment, regardless of how fast a player is they will get run down occasionally, even Judd and Davey.

Players slow down to steady, and I guarantee that Davey at full speed is faster than Drew bandfield at full speed.

Luke Jericho ran down Aaron Davey in last years NAB Cup match, but I wouldn't really classify him as an AFL player. Bloody fast though. Used to compete in the Bay Sheffield sprints.
It's a damn shame he's so soft.

Yeah - I heard an interview with Davey the year Melbourne had drafted him. He said that when he was training with North, he and Wells used to have races all the time. When asked who won, he said it was pretty close over 20 metres but he could usually pip Wells - but once it got above that Wells had him covered.
