Why did we join the AFL?

I remember the bet/'gentleman's agreement' between McAllister and Boulton/Bucky[?] being that Collingwood would forfeit the Magpie emblem or Port would forfeit any claims to it if one side finished above the other on the Premiership table for three consecutive seasons.

And Collingwood duly reneged.

They've got the emblem and colours.

But we've got a premiership.

I know which one I'd prefer.

we should still be allowed to wear black & white though. In the vfl/afl there are 3 teams with blue & white, roos, blues, cats. the cats and blues share the same shade of blue too. In all leagues around the world, teams are allowed to wear the colors that represent their region or are historically their colors. nfl or nba in america for instance. or soccer in england. it is absurd and nasty. we should be allowed to and there'd be nothing wrong with a 'clash' outfit, like they do in all those leagues around the world.

It's funny, cos I always thought the crows were just a pawn used as leverage by the AFL to get Port into the competition. "OK we'll let them have their precious team for all South Australians in, as long as we get the real club in we want next time round". Fortunately Schwab and Oakley were men of vision ...

Rucci often says that a few people know the real truth behind 1990 including the part Norwood played (pretty sure Rucci has no real idea) but one would be Alan Schwab and he died of a drug overdose in the 1990s ... so only Oakley knows what really happended and who pushed/prodded who? I feel obliged to take you to task there Powerstufff! I don't know what "derolic" means either but the one and only Shakespeare invented a lot of words and phrases. grugman could be a modern day Shakespeare and if it was good enough for old Will who are you to poke fun at the grugster!!?

Our supporters may be derolic(sic) and feral but at least children dont go missing when we play North Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
