Society/Culture Why I blame Islam for the fact it's raining today.... part 2

Reminder: This isn't the Israel/Hamas thread. Go to the Israel/Hamas thread if you want to talk about that. Thanks.

Thread rules update:
From this point if you're going to make a connection between Islam and the crime rate, you need to demonstrate causation in your post. If you do not, I'm going to infract you for the inherent racism in the position you're taking.

You know we've discussed the grifters great replacement theory many times? Like - over a number of years?
What western countries would you like me to point out the demographic shift?

You know the irony of the migration, we have the left pushing this LBGT equality DEI diversity agenda the. You have large influx of middle easterners whom many are strict religious muslims who have strict laws against all this and do not tolerate then throw in many other conservative countries of Africa & Asia

There are 64 countries that have laws that criminalise homosexuality, and nearly half of these are in Africa.
Some countries, including several in Africa, have recently moved to decriminalise same-sex unions and improve rights for LGBTQ people.
In December 2022, Singapore's parliament repealed a controversial law which banned sex b

You think it's ironic that people who believe in DEI don't want to discriminate based on religion or country of origin? The only irony is that you think they should be really discriminatory in order to be inclusive ... mamma mia.

Yet, the original text that they all plagiarise from is the Jewish/hebrew text.
Here it is writ large, just for you.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man lies with a male as lying with as woman, they both committed an abomina- tion; they certainly will die; their blood is upon them.
cc 1:1 you are first!!

Chat GDP?
I quoted the actual text.
I own a 5 bedroom house with very little owed, I also have two other properties.
I don’t like vegan food and cook ribeyes weekly, and I’m very good at it.
My father is dead and my mother is in care.
And you are an acct with insufficient privileges.
Bot.

Wait… Chat GDP? Is that the version that gives emotional advice in economic terms?
“Your confidence is experiencing stagflation. Please stimulate personal growth before a full recession sets in.”

Then why are you posting a series of anti-multiculturalism/migration screeds in this thread?
I haven't. I've made it quite clear that mass migration is the issue, not migration itself. And if you want to talk about "screeds", have a word with your boss.

Multi-culturalism is just a word that describes several different cultures existing within one national (economic) boundary.
Over time, either one "culture" assumes dominance, or a new one emerges as a result of interaction. Either way, no culture survives.

Except one.

... this is such an odd direction to approach this.

I really hadn't thought about the potential harm in children going through Ramadan's fasting; it's a pretty straightforward criticism to make, and it's a good one. There are reasons why and how one's parents can and should exercise control over their children's diet, but religion shouldn't really be one of them.

But bringing this up in defense(?) of the integrity of NAPLAN testing is an exceedingly weird way to make that argument. NAPLAN is a shit test, for a variety of reasons - more than we can really get into in this thread - and using the integrity of its findings to criticise religious fasting is... easily one of the weirdest flexes I've seen on this forum.
Completely unrelated but i remember when they used to push doing the 40 hour famine in school to raise money

Does that thing even still exist?

****ing disrespectful really ain’t it?
Famines don’t tend to be voluntary yeah?
At least ramadan is by choice, kinda?
It is the 4th pillar, not really a choice given leaving the faith calls for death for apostasy under sharia in the hadith.
It’s difficult to corner muslims on the power of the hadith compared to the quranic scripture.
It’s a fascinating little cult is islam, only a rung up on mormonism and scientology from my reading.
I do find most muslims far more reasonable than the majority christians though, I don’t think that’s wholly surprising though to most of us!
There is more evidence for the life of the prophet muhammad than yeshua in historical context at least!
👍
They have one thing in common though, probably with Tupac and Biggie, live by the sword, die by the sword!
👍

I suspect that's probably the type of Muslims you interact with and is likely indicative of (to borrow a woke term) "your privilege".

However, the bigger issue is that you're doing what the fundamentalists of both Christianity and Islam do and use their own modern literal interpretation of scripture - ignoring the centuries of agreed meaning by scholars who study scripture and related texts for decades.
Ah yes, the evolving interpretations of the scriptures, an evolution which has been ongoing for centuries. The very scriptures that repeatedly claim to be immutable. Can no-one see the problem there?

This is old news. Anyone watched the PSG vs Inter Milan champions league final?

Paris Saint Germain won 5-0. The celebrations in Paris was interesting. There were riots. It wasn't the white fellas that started it.

Oddly it was the people that are North African and middle eastern blokes. A few of them were carrying out the Palestinian flags.

OK I have a question.

Muslims tell us that it is customary and expected for women to wear a hijab or a burkha, not to consign them to inferior status, but to protect them from the uncontrollable urges of men.

Yet every day I see Muslim men going about their business in close proximity to non-Muslim women dressed with everything they’ve got on display. Nothing left to the imagination.

Yet I’ve not once seen a Muslim man become so inflamed by this display as to be driven out of his mind and pounce on one of these scantily-clad non-Muslim women and ravish her maniacally.

It seems men can control their lustful urges.

So where does this leave the justification for insisting that Muslim women wear a hijab or burkha?

Not all men can control their urges. What religion they are doesn’t change this.

Regardless, not all Muslims demand these things. Just as not all Christians police what their wifes and daughters wear when they leave the house. But some do.

Yes, well I guess I'm addressing my question to the Muslim men that do demand these things.

The bigger question in my opinion is why do you wish to kill people for leaving your god damned religion? it's not a small number either. More than 3/4th of pakistanis believe people should be killed for not believing in that war monger?
