Please let this NOT be about which state is better or worse plenty of threads on that over the years, as the bans will be slapped out I guess, but why is it a suspendable offense?

I would think the years on this forum, state rivalry in the AFL forum and cricket forum has added to the fun of the forum?

probably cause it's just been taking to far and becomes a pain in the ass to sift through.

if there was the occasional comment, and a bit of banter here and there i'm sure it would be allowed.

but it's become boring to read, annoying to sift through, clutters up too many threads, and it's the same people trotting out the same shit over and over and over and over.....

i'd say much the same reason *most* talk about RL has been banned on the main boards.

It's probably fun for about three people on the cricket board, drives everyone else mad with the tedium of it.

because its like a red rag to a bull to anyone who has any pride for their state.

by making it a bannable offence it means people have to come up with decent reasons as to why Haddin's crap and Wade is a god. Instead of just saying "NSW bias" "Vic Bias"ect.

Intelligent people can be both supportive of a person from their state, without it being blatantly obvious. If you think someone deserves a spot/doesn't deserve a spot you can debate it by posing genuine arguments without resorting to State lines as a reason for selection.

Its like Godwin's law. Once you mention state lines you immediately lose the Argument.

It's pretty obvious what has happened here.... The Australian selectors have conspired to ban any bad mouthing about NSW players on Big Footy.... Maybe Victoria should play their next shield game with "Freedom Of Speech" on their shirts! :D:thumbsu:
