The reason why the Kangaroos played their full strength team and we played our no-names is that because the Kangaroos are trying to get some sort of money. We can get some by coughing

Lets put it in perspective:

Tha Kanga's have been in pre season training for 6 months, have been preparing for the contest for 4 months and had a full list apart from Archer on the paddock!

Then you can argue that Malthouse hasn't introduced a new style of play and we still like to make sure we reach the boundary on the wings before we bring the ball back into the forward 50

The roos really must be going for the Cup, because Archer said he will be out there this week, so that is a full squad. I didnt no that anyone took it that seriously

the thing with the roos atm, because we were so poor last year. i dont really think we have a best 22. i think we have about 10 guys who will play every week but then the rest of the spots are up for grabs. basically we have grant, harvey, simpson, thommo, who are experienced (archer is not one of our main contributors these days) and then guys like rawlings, wells, mcintosh, hale etc who have been around for a few years and will play every week. then the rest of the spots arent settled so i think we'll be rotating players through for the rest of the nab, guys like urch, trotter and whyman (who didnt play against the pies) all had great pre-seasons and are strong contenders to be regular seniors this year but as i side we dont really have a settled side. at the same time i think we are taking the nab fairly seriously for a bit of a kick to our membership tally. we also have jess smith on the sidelines, so there is still going to be alot of changes to our side throughout the year.
