I know you're stirring, but if i'm honest the Richmond fans were pretty classless in the way they booed GWS in the GF.

Booed them coming onto the ground, booed them after they scored just their second goal and were being soundly flogged, some Richmond fans around me at the ground even booed Phil Davis in the speeches.

Definitely tongue in cheek.

Having said that while I don't boo myself I really think the endless hand-wringing about it is a bit OTT (unless of course there's a nasty story behind it a-la Goodes). Personally I largely see it as mostly a good natured dig at the opposition. Certainly it's a lot milder that what used to be yelled over the fence and in the stands.

Gotta say though apart from when GWS came on the ground and some despicable umpiring in the first quarter I didn't notice much in the way of booing on GF day.
