Let's be realistic here folks....The Crows will have a solid win against an ordinary lineup. The Dogs will have about a minutes inspiration for Chris Grant and that will be it. Adelaide have a new mind set this year. I think in years gone by, this might have been a game we could drop. But all of a sudden we find ourselves sitting nicely and we won't undo all the hard work against a team that is a long way off being a good side.
Spot on T-Man. In previous seasons this is exactly the sort of game we would suffer a disappointing loss in. This game should indicate if we've shrugged off that complacent, a couple of good wins in a row is good enough mentality. If we want to be respected as one of the forces in this competition we must win games like this, and display a steely determination to win every week, regardless of who and where we're playing.

Sure, if we are going to be a good side, we should win this game, but ARE we in fact a good football side?

Now, our previous two results would say that we are, but are they a bit of a false dawn, a good step in development and performance, however, ultimately a little misleading at this stage in our side's maturation?

Is there in fact that big a gulf in the relative talents and abilities of the respective teams? I'm not entirely sure, though again, the way we've been performing recently, you'd say so, but will it continue?

There's too many doubts for me, with all the factors at play here, it's too simplistic to say we should win, so we will win.

Footy is a funny game. Now I'm off to pop a few panadol and have a good lie down....

Bloody hell ant !!

I was all set to tip the Crows by a lazy 5 goals.

Think i might join you instead in a bout of pill-popping. :o

We should win this game. We generally do pretty well in Melbourne when there are a lot of fans travelling over and with the game being at the Dome, it's not really like we're playing away, considering our respective records there. Bulldogs coming back from Perth is also very handy for us, should be able to run over the top of them.

The biggest thing standing in our way is obviously Grant's 300th but it was interesting to hear Schwass say on Foxfooty last night that you really only are up for the first 5 minutes of milestone games and then you have to concentrate too much on what you're doing to let it bother you. Then afterwards, if you've had a win, you can celebrate.

Crows by 5 goals +, McLeod BOG. (has there been a game against the Dogs that he hasn't dominated? ;) )

The Crows should and will win.

I felt a bit about the Sydney game the way some ar saying on here but we came through with flying colours

The Lovely Boys have not let us down yet and until they do I have a lot of faith in them

I am more worried about next weeks game to be honest. Kangas give us heart burn at home or away.

I tipped Adelaide r1 & we lost.
I tipped Collingwood r2 & we won
I tipped Port r3 (1st time ever) & we won.

I then said right, I am not tipping us again until we lose.

I tipped Sydney r4 & we won

I have tipped Bulldogs this week so put your money on us.

Funny how we share the same mentality towards tipping the crows games ;) However I really believe the crows can win this one and I've decided to tip them this week. Tipping and Supporting are two very distinct things and I will not always tip a side I support to win.

On a side note, I've always been a great fan of the win-win situation where if I tipped against the crows, and if they did lose I would win a point on my tips, and if the crows won, I'd too be elated. A weekend sure is surly when the crows lose and you have lost a tip to boot

It has no bearing.

Superstition is for chumps ;)

If we play with the intensity we've played with for the last 3 weeks, we'll win it. Bulldogs will be pumped for Grant's 300, but won't match us if we're on song. Crows are my only non-home team tip this week.

Funny you should say that. I don't wish to be pessimistic, but we're due for a loss and this is exactly the sort of one we'll drop - coming off three straight weeks of going in as clear underdogs and taking the chocolates in style, we're now faced with the favourites tag, and while Craigy would be doing everything to keep the players' feet on the ground, I just have a dodgy feeling we'll underestimate them and get pantsed, similar to Round 2, 2003 against the Saints.

I totally agree with you on form we should win, but the Crows have a frustrating history of often losing games like this. While I have tipped Adelaide I have a slight feeling that we will get beaten tonight, the main reason I tipped Adelaide was because against Collingwood when they headed us in the last quarter traditionally the crows then pack up and go home, but we toughed it out and won and I hoping that will continue and the crows defy history again tonight by winning the sort of game that they traditionally lose.

If we win tonight, I think we will be a very strong chance to make the eight. It wont be easy to get in though there are a lot of quality sides that I think will finish higher than us at the end of the minor round

Adelaide's Midfield >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bulldogs Midfield.

I think this will be the deciding factor.
Crows' midfield got spanked tonight :(

I had that uneasy feeling about this game. It had danger written all over it. Some of the players started to beleive the publicity.

At least they come back to the earth now ;)
