Yeah this is great news, stoked for him. Fingers crossed he can stay injury free for a while.

The focus on Essendon’s vastly improved injury list has centred on Scott Lucas and Mark McVeigh - both of who resumed full contact training this week – but the big success story has been the return of 24-year-old Jason Winderlich.
The veteran of 56 games also resumed full training this week after overcoming a career threatening back problem.
“There was a lot of concern about him but he has been building up now since October so it has been a really gradual return and it has gone really well,” football operations manager, Paul Hamilton, said at training today.

Last year or in 2007? He had a horror 2008 looking uncomfortable for the majority of the games he played. That's great to hear. Not his biggest fan but he was starting to show some signs last year.
Thats sounds a little optimistic. When is Round 1 by the way?

A little off topic...BUT
I don't understand how anyone can not be a big fan of Winders - he absolutely bleeds for the club, is passionate and works his arse off.

His year seemed severely interrupted and his constant injury problems with yet another limited pre season means he should be close to his last chance. Love Winderlich just as much as the next person but his body has failed him up till now and he has had more then enough time to show his worth.Would hardly say he had a horror 2008 given his worst 2 games where 11 and 13 disposals . He played injured pretty much all the way through but he had a couple of really good games including the first game against the Blues and also against Adelaide and Hawthron before he went down for the season.
He averaged 17 disposals in 2008 so i would hardly say horror.
