Shows the concerns around our long injury list may have been well and truly overstated

With the exception of VB nearly all have done a full PS ........even Porps did the majority and I am sure they've been keeping his fitness up by other means

Hopefully alot of these injuries are a sign that Neil Craig has been absolutely smashing them on the track, and now its time to taper off and get everyone fit and firing for round 1

Was watching the Rnd 22 game against Melb in 2006 whilst exercising the other day ........same comments were being said then about Craigs tough training approach as we had a host of injuries then as well.

BUT ......if the old adage is you play as you train then I subscribe to that approach by Craig who tends to be tougher than other AFL clubs ........but then you can't criticize the results he's obtained or players that have outperformed expectations due to being super fit and the tough training approach

Johncock out for up to four weeks with a broken thumb according to the club's Facebook page :(

Jarrhan Jacky has replaced him in the 25.

Edit: What's the ETA on Moran?

Last I read, it was "indefinite", which is a worry.

I dont want to throw people into panic mode but Im hearing rumours that Tippet is having soreness behind the knees. My mate who was at the game Sunday said he was limping off the ground.

Anyone else heard the same?

It was mentioned briefly here after the match on the weekend. Something about him having issues with it in the preseason but the club working him through it. Hopefully it doesn't develop into something more serious.

I understand they are managing leg problems (along with Thompson) by giving them the Friday training session off to rest. Hopefully you're right - its just something to manage initially and it will go away.

3 weeks for Sellar? Man :( I guess this means Griffin straight back in after no SANFL match?

Edit: What's the ETA on Moran?

Saw the 2 Brad's in the Shed after the game on Sunday and Moran's still on cruches and Symes wasn't even limping but said he's at least 5 weeks away so going by his estimation I doubt we'll be seeing Moran play anytime in the near future.

There must have been some doubt over him against Freo as well, because someone on here said he didn't train with the main group leading up to that game (IIRC) and that's probably why they took Maric over. Hopefully it doesn't turn into anything big since Sellar's already been ruled out for a few weeks so we don't really want to be stuck with Griffin rucking again...

Knee's don't generally "go away" without significant rest or surgery.

Wow you guys have had a bad injury run :(

I'd play McKernan. He's had a quiet start to the year but is a real, real talent. This is the sort of selection that can take us forward as a side. Going back to the well for these players who lack intensity and desire is not the way to do it. Smack all the way.
