With only 4 games a week and only 8 weeks of the season, its pretty easy to track, so Im going to open a Womens Footy Board Player of the Year Award - similar to the club boards.

heres how it works

For any given match, you simply nominate your 3. 2. and 1. You can give reasons and honorable mentions if you like.

3 - E. Marinoff (Adelaide) she was everywhere all the time. On our board she was described as being a left foot version of Rory Sloane in her style of play and I couldn't agree more. It was her work in the middle that allowed us to have so many forward entries.
2 - E. Phillips (Adelaide) she's playing with a slight quad injury but she's just a class above.
1 - C. Randall (Adelaide) - tagged by GWS but still managed to get into the game and do some damage with limited possessions (for her) and I love her hardness as well as her skill.
Just missing out was Deni Varhagen with her run and carry.

I was there! Are all Melbourne supporters on drugs? I was chatting with a nice Melbourne lady, who was explaining football to me, until we started winning, and then not a word! haha. Shocking wet weather football, but if our women had played badly we would have been beaten, no? so riddle me that Batman! Great win by the Lions, they all deserved votes imho.
