And the Jackson suspension.

I'd back Richmond to be a decent chance, especially without Cotchin for a month.

Fair enough, Cotchin did a stupid thing but 3 weeks was a bit much wasn't it, nice to see they are appealing. Although he has a good record i cant believe Walker got off. How was that different to the many other front on bumps that have received weeks.

On the spoon issue, I voted West Coast before the weekend, but after that win and the non-terrible run home it will be tight.

I believe Lions and Essendon are most deserving of the Wooden Spoon but currently it seems West Coast or Port may win it.

2 weeks ago I would vote for wce, but now I think the bombers will get it.

West Coast or Richmond, Port and Melbourne are chances.
Melbourne are a game and a half with percentage off the bottom of the ladder. Cant see them winning it.

WCE are on 4 wins
Essendon, Brisbane, Port and Richmond are on 5 wins.

Any of those 5 are a chance. On form, Essendon and Brisbane would be favourites with WCE and Port not far behind.

And with games against: Port, Brisbane, Richmond, North and Sydney at the G it would be pretty hard to see Melbourne not winning at least 1 more.

It's a difficult year for the spoon, as there are a number of contenders. Conversely, in the last few seasons, there has regalarly been one team almost intent on winning it for drafting purposes.

I'd need to have a look at the respective run-homes in order to make a more informed prediction, but I think the Bombers are looking most likely due to the fact that they have absolutely no momentum as we speak, nor any confidence.
