I called in year 10 and was told it's normally a year long wait so book in year 9 (if your school does it in year 10 like mine)
I instead did 1 day at Billy Hyde, got sick of stamping on boxes so I took a 6 day weekend.

I'm sure there is an email on the website for general enquiries. Sounds like a fair que though.
I reckon you could attempt to skip the line by going directly to the relevant person in a particular area - sports medicine, physio, fitness, media, admin (doubt they will let you get too much footy department).
Would be a good work experience though.
