I dunno - presuming he is still happy with his choice to take the bag, he still has the bag.Would love to rewatch the interview Cam Smith did years ago signing for LIV. Guess he wouldn’t be close to feeling the same today

Is it guaranteed paid out? Reading it’s not upfront but over time.I dunno - presuming he is still happy with his choice to take the bag, he still has the bag.
He has been there for almost 4 years. You'd have to think that would have come pretty close to covering or exceeding his initial contract term?Is it guaranteed paid out? Reading it’s not upfront but over time.
Came home like a freight trainAdam Scott is into the US open. The streak gets to 100.
that wrong ball penalty cost him equal second spot
A true backdoor top 10. Think the NLU fellas call that Stolen Valour.Came home like a freight trainthat wrong ball penalty cost him equal second spot

Are LIV golfers allowed on the European Tour?I do wonder how Smith will end up.
Exempt into all majors until end of 27, then(if he's allowed back) his status is only really via past champion. And that will only be the Open and Players given 4 of his 6 PGA wins were in the Zurich, Sentry and Sony. Every chance the Zurich goes the way of Sentry and Sony.
I think generally speaking, yes - even Johnny Rahm can now he has paid up. But any player needs status to play on any tour. I am not sure Smith would meet any of the eligibility categories(absent a win in PGA/Open win in Australia this summer). So he'd be relying on sponsor invites. Which would surely come. At least for a while anyway. Are LIV golfers allowed on the European Tour?

But it doesn't sound like Smith might want to go down that path?
It's close to impossible to get into the majors via Asia/DP, bar those few invites at select tournaments. And he has never shown any interest in Europe, albeit he never needed to.Be interesting to see what Cam does, He likes his free time so he may just play some asian tour and DP world tour events? Hope to qualify for Majors that way somehow?
Or he may want to jump back on the PGA tour?
Interesting times ahead for the LIV guys. Some o0f them got huge money so they could easily just play a year or even two on the DP or Asian tour and work their way back on the PGA tour that way and maybe avoid the fines etc that may come with the PGA tours rules to get back on the tour.
No way he grinds away on the Asian or DP World tours on a full schedule when he has >$100M in the bank, he and his wife live in Florida and they have a 1 year old.Be interesting to see what Cam does, He likes his free time so he may just play some asian tour and DP world tour events? That’s the perfect time in life to nick off to another continent! No way he grinds away on the Asian or DP World tours on a full schedule when he has >$100M in the bank, he and his wife live in Florida and they have a 1 year old.
Yep, I wouldn’t be paying any fines to fund the PGA’s PIP.Be interesting to see what Cam does, He likes his free time so he may just play some asian tour and DP world tour events? Hope to qualify for Majors that way somehow?

Thankfully the PIP is a thing of the past. Funnily enought, if it was still around, Tiger's car crash would have seen him grab some extra dollars.Yep, I wouldn’t be paying any fines to fund the PGA’s PIP.
What’s the sponsorship and fan following looking like for the PGA these days. I haven’t watched any golf really (besides the Masters final round) for years.Thankfully the PIP is a thing of the past. Reckon it won't take long for the Tour to start lowering prizemoney in certain tournaments.
I reckon it’s pretty ordinary and unsustainable- the rise in prizemoney is off the back of the PGAT putting the ask on certain sponsors and maybe taking some of the SSG dollars. I can’t see any way a naming rights sponsor is getting their money’s worth right now. What’s the sponsorship and fan following looking like for the PGA these days. Hope I’m wrong and the course is great but can’t help but feel this will be another big own goal by golf aus.North Adelaide golf club will host the Men's Australian Open three times between 2028 and 2034.
Just checked calendar to remind myself it's not April Fools Day.
