We all know that drafts in recent years the draft has taken off and the players coming through are actually studied. The drafts before those years were poor and did not really make the best players get picked up early. The Worst Selections I am referring two are of recent years when the draft was actually good and good players are picked up early(apparently not in this case)

graham polak is turning out to be one of the worst draft picks for how high he went and considering it was a superdraft.

Pick 3 Aaron Fiora (Pavlich was taken next)
Pick 4 Mark Bolton (Luke Power was taken next)
Pick 2 Jarryd Roughead (Ryan Griffen was taken next)

In the 2001 super draft Brisbane took Jarrad Wright with their 2nd pick, and the Hawks got Sam Mitchell with the very next pick.

But I guess that's going a bit lower in the draft.

Rodan was picked up at 30odd IIRC.

The only similarities between those two players are that they both wear the number 3 on their back and both get across the turf well.

Judd is light years ahead in terms of contested ball, foot skills and general football smarts.

That poor boy has been severely overrated.

Deledio is a better kick than Judd. In fact, Deledio is just about the best kick of a drop punt on the move as I have seen. Sensational kick of the footy. I would describe Judd's footskills as above average, and everything else he does as superhuman stupid good.

Deledio will be a superstar. Rounded his game out very well this year. He has everything required.

You've got to be kidding.

Yes, he probably is a better set shot at goal than Judd, but nearly everyone is, kicking on the run to a moving target, Id back Judd every time over Deledio.

I watched Deledio's game against West Coast and both his efforts against Hawthorn and Carlton. He is a good kick, but lacks the ability to put the ball to advantage and often puts it on the boot laces of a leading foward.
