Worst afl player you've seen (and why)

Robert Eddy of StKilda from a few years ago.

This guy brought nothing to the table. The least talented player I have seen play at AFL level.
The best thing he did in his career was his tackle on Lumumba in the gf

My first thought when I saw this thread was toward some of Carlton's sides after the salary breaches. Well actually it was Cain Ackland, but then I checked out some players who have played over 50 matches or the Blues.

O'Hailpin, Aaron Joseph, Paul Bower, Hampson, Trent Hotton :drunk:, Bannister, Cory McGrath, Trent Sporn.

They were some tough times for the old dark blue-baggers.

Simon Wiggins would also be high up on the worst players to play x games list

Luke McCabe. Absolute baked potato.

138 games of agony. When Neitz broke him I stood and applauded. Never played again. lol
How good was it when The Great Anthony Lockett or was it Gary Ablett either way both great ran through Cristian Bardsley from St Kilda. I don't understand for the life of me how he survived that hit. It was absolutely pulverising re.

jordie mckenzie

putrid kicker of the ball, putrid skills, someone who always had double the handballs then kicks because he lacked the basic skill of kicking

the type of guy that is in the team that trys his very best but is just shit

he typifies why melbourne were so poor for so long

Courtney Johns, Darcy Daniher, Aaron Henneman, Jarod Atkinson, Richard Cole, Jay Neagle, Jay Nash and plenty more shockers over the years also

Aaron Shattock - How he got a game for Brisbane in the early-2000's I'll never know. The 11 games he played at Port were just terrible. Sure he was 'tough' (more like a thug), but he was rubbish at football. Career stats: 68 games, 9.4 disposals a game, 0.2 goals, 1.2 tackles as a midfielder.

If Guy Richards played 11 more games he wins.

All the names mentioned in this thread and I still can't go beyond Aaron Joseph.

Some stats:

73 Games (FFS)

Ave disposals: 11.37

Ave goals: 0.14

Ave Marks: 2.9

Ave tackles: 3.15

Ave clearances: 0.53

Ave clangers: 1.75

Brownlow votes: 0

Surely no 50 gamer stacks up worse against this crab?
Joseph was poor, no doubt. However, he played almost exclusively as a shutdown tagger. Gary Ablett said Joseph was his toughest opponent at one stage.

I could probably name 10 Carlton players worse than him.

Austin McCrabb always struck me as a fairly limited operator when I was a kid.

I think Blighty agreed. I still remember him being ordered away from the Geelong team huddle at 3 quarter time one day. Poor guy had to stand on his own 50 meters away.
Aye, Austin_McCrabbs, this bloke is bagging you.

Jarrhan Jacky. Had no ****ing idea what he was doing out there. Nathan Lonie would have to be one of the worst 100 game players. His brother wasn't much better.
