There was a period in the early mid 00s when the Tigers had all these guys running around at the same time getting semi-regular games;

Tivendale (188 games!), Rory Hilton, Ty Zantuck, Aaron Fiora, Mark Chaffey, young David Rodan, Mark Dragicevic (48 games), Biddiscombe (78 games), Ray Hall (99 games).

Not a very inspiring lot. And then their old champions retire, Coughlan gets injured, and they go and draft Richard Tambling.

Mods, when these worst player threads come about can we make it a rule that after a poster replies and nominates a player they have to include their own playing stats ( senior footy games at any level). Cheers.

Never even heard of him.
What about the Tigers - Greg Tivendale, Mark Chaffey, Shane Tuck, the Kellaway brothers etc

Just horrendous and all played over 150 games.

Edit: Had to google James Walker. I cannot believe he played 150 games. Unbelievable.

Tuck had a couple of good years late in his career, was a pretty good clearance player and took alot of heat away from Cotchin the year where he was equal runner up in the Brownlow. Probably remember him for fracturing his shoulder blade during a game and played the rest of the game out only to be ruled out for 8 weeks afterwards. Tough as nails, the Tigers could use a big bodied mid like him.

Can throw a blanket on the rest you named, add Fiora, Bourke, etc.

James Walker, Pedestrian by name and player. If it wasn't for his leg speed he would've been lucky to notch up 20 games.

Interesting James Walker Fact:

He won the AFL Grand Final Sprint in 2003 and 2004 and was noted as one of the fastest players in the AFL. He is the great-grandson of Collingwood legend Gordon Coventry.

Walker was delisted by Fremantle at the end of the 2007 season and chose to participate in the 2007–08 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race on board the yacht westernaustralia2011.com for the race leg across the Southern Ocean between Durban and Fremantle.

Walker was pretty handy for a while. Barely missed a game in 5 years then just fell out of favour and was delisted at 28.

I nominate Shane Birss. Always looked out of his depth in his time with the Bulldogs and Saints and even had an out of his depth facial expression to go with it.

Shane Harvey also. Drafted because he was Brent Harvey's brother, then recruited to the Kangaroos because he was Brent Harvey's brother.
