Worst player in the AFL currently regularly getting a game? (Formerly is Priddis the worst?)

I don't think there is any doubt he has slipped, age has probably caught up to him a little as it does most, but haven't these threads been posted for 10 years on the Eagles board?

Nic Suban, Majak Daw, James Aish and David Mackay would have to head the conversation for 'How does he get a game, what does he bring to the table?' surely...

Past performances shouldn't gift players spots in the team, especially when they have been in obvious decline. Sometimes you can be sentimental but sometimes you have to be ruthless. We need the latter, we are treading water as a side atm.

He's playing him because he has "runs on the board" and trains well. Priddis is a professional, can't fault him for that.

But he can't just be played in a forward pocket or on a back flank.
He lacks goal sense, he's not quick enough or have a good enough kick.

He's had 1 role his whole career and for a few years he was one of the best at that role.
Now he can't play that role and with no flexibility can't be moved elsewhere.

Murdoch is an absolute crab. He's actually played 63/81 H&A games over the last 4 years which seems crazy. Apparently he's had a decent last 2 months, which is great - but is that enough to make up for 6 years of moronic clangers and anonymous performances?

Im not a fan of Priddis playing on but IMO this shouldn't be a main board thread. The guys is on a serious decline but there's plenty of blokes worse than him and its a bit disrespecting. Thats said the longer he plays the more his reputation gets tarnished and the more the general public realise it and latch on to it. Priddis's few strength really made him a very good player but the once they decline his weaknesses shine out and he really looks average.

Let me tell you about Mackays first dropping. He was dropped on form, taken as the travelling emergency and then brought straight back into the side WITHOUT even playing a minute of football because the coaches thought "we were a runner down" even though we won that particular game by 89 points. It was an exercise in lip service for the "agitators".

Posted same after your post. Some of our posters have been ridiculous this year but this would be hard to deal with.

No one actually mentions anyone but Priddis, Mitchell, Kennedy, Shuey and Gaff therefore the general consensus states he's a top 5 player at your club regardless what I think or you think. Whether that's your Facebook fans, the neck beards on Reddit, media people, commentators, people who attend matches regularly or people on here.

Lol no. The only people who would think priddis is remotely near our top 5 this year are people who don't watch our games or people who are stupid.

Every team has a few shockers getting a game.

I would say Priddis has to be one of the most hurtful to his own team though simply because he takes a prime midfield spot up and makes it easier for opposition to get through defensively.
