I don't ever remember a Geelong side shit enough that I thought a win was a given.

Save for a couple of years early this century (and to tell the truth my memory might be playing tricks on me) I feel exactly the same about the eagles.

WC 2001 & 2008 were genuine easybeats. 2010 we came last but weren't actually that bad.

I knew there were a few years of competitive irrelevance but I genuinely would have had no idea they’d finished that low without you telling me

Oh we stank. I was at WC vs Geelong in 2008 when we lost by 135. Witches hats.

Thankfully we've only had short periods of shitness. 2002-07, 2011/12, 2015-18 we played finals and 2013/14 we weren't miles off it.

I'm prepared to ignore the pre AFL period. If we include teams like University or pre 1987 VFL teams then we would have to equally consider pre 1987 WAFL, SANFL, TFL etc. teams.

That leaves the 3 wins over two seasons 1995-96 Fitzroy teams as the worst.

Sydney give them a run for their money 92-93. They don't have the excuse the AFL cut the cord and wanted them out either (although they may have been considering it).

Makes me cringe thinking the Footscray lions could have been premiers in 2016.
