For the sheer number of times you will find 5c on the ground, it's hardly worth the effort

I rationalized this question a while ago with respect to getting 5c on a sale.

If I made 3 sales a day with a return of 5c over 10 years, I'll have 4k in the bank. In this case it might be worth it, but for the effort and depreciation of that 5c year by year. What's it really worth to you?

I like to glue 50c coins to the footpath with liquid nails.

Usually get at least a week or 2 out of it until some desperate and patient kid decides to chisel it off with something.

We did this outside the bar up at the beach, was quite funny sitting there having a beer watching people try and get it. (This was a $2 coin though, big investment but worth it)

I don't think I've seen a coin on a footpath (glued or otherwise) in my 'hood, ever.

Of course, given where I live, if you were to drop a coin there's a fair chance it would hit the back of a junkie's head.

I used to use gold ones at the start but imo 50c is the best. Reason being having the largest surface area means it has the maximum adhesion. Plus whilst it's worth enough that a few people will try and pick it up it's no so much that it's less likely that determined children will go to the effort of chiselling it away.

Wow you thought it about it a lot more than we did ha ha
