Finally got this game, looking forward to putting some hours into it. From what i have seen from youtube clips Universe mode looks to be better and have a bit more longevity in it.
 
Got this game today and from what I've played so far, it's quite good. This is my first WWE game in a while as the more I grew up the less interested I became in WWE but this is one of the bests. The controls are a bit confusing but I'm sure it will get easier.

But definitely a really good game, especially with the attitude era :thumbsu:

So i have to fork out more money on top of the $89 i spent on the game just so i can play with Drew McIntyre, Cesaro, Sandow, Ryback, Tensai or the Uso's but for free i can get Layla :mad:
 
First impressions is the gameplay is actually pretty good (for regular matches at least). Quite smooth, quite challenging on normal and the pacing is more realistic. The AI do repeate moves for some reason which is annoying though. Had one match where the AI opponent through me out of the ring about 8 times that's all he did.

Not sold on this game. The Attitude Era seems fun but not enough for me to say its any better than the last few games. Gameplay isn't different but it does feel smoother. In the 30 odd matches i have played i have only seen one kick out at the 2 count. CPU kicks out at one way too often and particulary frustrating when after the second GTS Zach Ryder still kicks out at one.

I like the catch finisher idea but the AI is never jumping from the top rope or springboarding over the rope. Add on top of that i need to pay for the superstars in dlc and pay to edit attributtes :confused::thumbsdown: i can not justify the money i spent. No Tyson Kidd or Natalya in the game but Kharma is on the roster :rolleyes:

Great mode of play, some objectives were annoying, especially waiting for the Attitude Moments to trigger in certain points (Rock Vs Stone Cold at WM15 i must've played for about 15 minutes before i figured it out). Last year's RTWM got very repetitive, especially all those backstage brawls in the WCW story, but they definitely worked a way around that this year.

Apart from a quick look through caw, i haven't looked at anything other than Attitude Mode thus far, so tonight i guess i'll dive into Universe mode (once i've spent the obligatory 5 hours creating a caw/entrance/moveset). Will probably have a good look at what's changed in the other creation modes too, especially arenas.

With Universe Mode, do you go through all the matches that are set or do you make your own matches?

I just beat attitude era myself and have jumped into universe mode. I haven't played a wwe games since '10 so i thought it would be a similar set up. I spent all night creating a character and was looking forward to going through some story-lines leveling him up as i went. But so far it seems it's just skipping through matches with no direct stories or anything with no reward. If i wanted i could just put my character in a match against the champ and just play it without build up etc, seems pretty crappy. I don't know if i'm doing it wrong or what, but i dont like it.

If you play online , avoid playing a kiwi bloke named BLAKELOCK.
Biggest muppet i've ever encountered in GAMING let alone WWE.

Abuses the same 4 moves EVERY match ( spamming ) which shits me no end but considering 85% of wwe gamers do the same , you just have to suck it up a little bit.
But this cocksmoker acts like he's the 2nd coming - " Hahaaa you're shit , i'm the greatest etc etc "

Join ranked match - OH LOOK , Blakelock's 1P in an Elim chamber tornado match BIG SURPRISE.......hits me with 3 moves , gets me in a submission...i tap :rolleyes:...yeahnar no turbo controller there......

Finally managed to get him in a tag match.....finally managed to get a partner who wasn't a COMPLETE MONGOL , manage to beat Blakelock in 1 out of 10 matches....manage to reverse 3 or 4 of Blakelocks 60 running grapple moves a match , Blakelock carries on like a bitch - " OH REPORT THESE GUYS , THEY'RE SPAMMERS !!!!! " he says....after spamming in every match i've ever fought him.

So he puts the match up on youtube.......( apologies for the pic quality , but just listen to this moron carry on )

Tried to reason with him.....response went along the lines of " U R a n00b !!! "
That old saying " Never argue with an idiot..they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience " has never been more apt.

So moral is - Don't let this campaigner ruin your online fun like he has mine.
