yeah. its like they realise that he is human and are like, well......thats a disappointment. and move onto someone more vunerable. but then there r some players who love it. dont know who i feel more sorry for.

Personally, I don't feel sory for any of them. Groupies are ********s, and the players are ********s if they like it.

I totally agree. And not just with footballers, too. Groupies seem to fall in love with the image, with the fame. They need to realise there's a human being there. And anyone who lets groupies give him a big head is, similarly, full of asterisks.

i totally agree. i don't see why someone would go to the footy to see the players and not the game. footy is footy, regardless of what the players act like or look like. i mean if we all liked the players coz of how they act, then half the players would have no fans!!
oooohhh well...

Hehehehe that is so true! :D
But I completely agree, I think that a lot of people don't understand that there really is a human being behind the name, the hair, the jumper, the car etc.... We gotta realise that they have problems like every other person and that they are not dolls playing footy for our enjoyment only. I know a few girls who follow the players not the team and eventually they get hurt because they hang all this hope on false image.
I know alot of people see us at the footy and think oh god what groupies coz we have our own little nicknames for the guys and we sometimes make comments about the guy's looks, but I guess not many people really get that we are NOT groupies, we care about the players a lot and we admit it, but at the end of the day we wear red and blue because we love the team not because we love a few players.

So your saying that if Robbo got traded, you will still support the Red and Blue fully?

132%! :D
But seriously though, Robbo is the reason I started supporing Melbourne but he isn't the reason I continued supporting them or the reason I have come to love them so much. He is a small part in a big thing and while him being traded would be incredibly painful for me and would certainly make footy hard for a while, it wouldn't take me away from supporting Melbourne, nothing will take me away from supporting them.
