Agreed. We've sold Ibe and Canos and let them go to see if they make it. If they do, the option is there to bring them back. I dont see it very often in England, seems to be a more continental european thing.Liking Liverpool's policy of selling with buy-back clauses. Think more clubs should do that for 20-23 year olds who are only going to get 5-10 appearances. Better system than loans imo
We had it with Luongo when we sold him. And apparently had something in place with a club with mason before his PL debut season with us too.Agreed. It's win win for everyone really. No idea what the buy back prices are in the Ibe and Canos deals though. I hope both go on and do well though. We had it with Luongo when we sold him. And apparently had something in place with a club with mason before his PL debut season with us too.
Gives the club getting these young guys more of a reason to be actively involved in getting them to kick on
at least when they go out on a deal like that they're like to play 70% of games and aren't written off like some loan players can be when they hit poor patches of formwe have it with a few guys. they're just not good enough
Exactly, loanee's can be cast aside if they have a form slump or dont fit in right away. Knowing they will just leave again at the end of the loan. With buy backs, the club has outright bought the player so they have committed to him and will ride out the form patches or be patient if he doesnt fit in right away.at least when they go out on a deal like that they're like to play 70% of games and aren't written off like some loan players can be when they hit poor patches of form
Just as important is choosing a good loan deal. We had Enes Unal somewhere in Belgium last year, he didnt play so we moved him to NAC Breda. He really kicked on there. One was great for his development, the other pointless.
In years to come we'll hopefully have an Eredivisie club and a La Liga club we have close relationships with, that we can sen 2-4 players at a time.

lel. The GK fluff is peak FIFAOur PL2 side beat Reading 4-1 yesterday which included a spell of 4 minutes where we scored 3 goals! Genuine wonderkid Marcus Edwards scored twice and both goals were lovely finishes while the last goal we scored was as a result of one of the worst GK errors you'll see. Doctor Gero jd2010 go you pups the hype just keeps building!

Haha yeah, it's a genuine howler, isn't it?lel. The GK fluff is peak FIFA
Should be playing Edwards v Gillingham.
