A Young ruckman that offers something around the ground is what we would love. WC have about 5 ruckman on their list. Gardiner is untouchable, Cox is unlikely to be traded and Seaby is rated very highly.

What about Paul Johnson ??????
Last year he was rated by many good judges as the top 10 pick in the draft. He was taken in the mid 20s. He can also go forward and kick goals. He would be 4th in line at West Coast. Eagles need a forward and Perrie is a WA boy that we should cash in on while his value is high.

What about Perrie for Johnson straight swap??????

Tim Nicholas, 21 year old at Norwood big tall lad can take a good mark in the air and also very good below the knees for a big man. Hopefully could get him with a late draft pick but worth a look.
He did a pre-season training with us last year in a hope of getting rookie listed. For some reason he was overlooked. I don't think Crows rate him highly;)

You don't mean Scola or whatever his name is?????? He is the ruckman for Centrals senior side. Is about the same height as Marsh??????

Yeah that is the one Schoeller or however you spell it. What about Craig Parry from the enemy he is young had a good season might be too slightly too short though.......
I REALLY like Parry as a player. i reckon he is a beauty BUT at 194 he is not big enough as ruckman in the AFL. If he makes it it will be as a CHB.

To be honest rucking stocks in SANFL are pretty weak.:(

Not good enough.

There is no such a thing as unlucky not to be drafted ruckman. Any ruckman with any half decent ability will get picked up. Tall ruckman are as rare as diamonds;)

What the hell is you problem. Did I have a go at her??????

I just said that he is not good enough. Do you really think that a young ruckman would go undrafted if he had what it takes to make the AFL???????

I got no problem with her having her opinion. SHe asked me what I thought of him and I gave my opinion. If you don't like it. Tough.

I never had a go at her

Hey, slow down, radar, you'll get booked for speeding!!! ;)

Stiffy is right that even the most average ruck prospect gets picked up just in case they turn out alright.

Really tall guys that don't get drafted can't have too much to offer.

Do you think the Crows would pick him up as a KPP?

I know I'll never win this arguement with anyone but I think McGregor's best position is FB. He is too slow with his brain and has stuff all peripheral vision for CHB.

I know that sounds like I don't rate McGregor, but i do, just not at CHB.

I reckon Power will pick him up. There has been a whisper around that they would like to draft him. Who ever gets him will get a players with a never say die attitude.

We could do a lot worse than Parry thats for sure.

Our natural picks come right before Port's... so maybe we could steal their thunder here. ;)

Good point:)

Another interesting thing is that Parry and Parker are best of mates. I remember listening to Parker on 5AA once and he said that his transition from WA to SA has been that much easier having his best mate here (I might be wrong but I reckon they both played in the same WAFL team). I think he'll be 20 next year and would be a good prospect. Very athletic.
