So went back to the same course for redemption. Much better front 9, only 51 today so 12 strokes better, really happy with that. Played the full 18 and finished with 107.

Fairly happy with that, fatigue really set in at the end, I hacked my way to a quad bogey on the last and was too lazy to walk back and get the right club which cost me.

Its a nice, flat, green course. Couple of tight fairways but not a heap of bunkering makes it quite beginner friendly. Just need to tighten up my tee shots as I'm still finding a bit too much rough.
Great stuff Juss...you will be breaking 100 regularly before you know it. Keep working hard.

Have managed to get 19 rounds in a month. Just with playing so often the last couple of weeks have managed to drop into the low to mid 80's regularly.
Not sure how accurate it is but I've been putting my scores into a free handicap tracker app and it has dropped from just under 15 to just under 12 in a month.

Of you play a lot the older rounds will drop off. Handicap will be about right.

Probably, I'm guessing it would be at most 1 out

Only disappointing thing at the moment is twice now I've been +6 after 14 thinking I'm half a chance to crack 80 for the first time and ended up bogeying my way home. Same thing used to happen trying to crack 100 and 90 for the first time although that was more double bogeying

You'll get there.

108 today at Spring Park.
59 front 9, 49 back 9.

Found my groove at the end, back 9 would have been my best ever at the course if not for an 11 on a par 4, I found the lake twice and the penalties cost me.

My game management is still terrible, I get tunnel vision aiming at the pin, like that 4th hole, I shouldn't have been anywhere near the lake, the smart shot was to play to the left of the fairway to avoid trouble, but I went straight at the pin and pushed it twice.

Oh well.....at least you didn't skinny the ball through that green and land it in someone's open pocket on their bag as they were were walking away from the 5th tee. ;)

Gross over nine holes? Nice.

Over one hole haha.

How's the overplanting on the back 9 tracking along? Haven't played there for a while.

I didnt notice it at all. i enjoyed the company and got around in good time. again, would only play it for convenience-playing with mates-unable to play PK

I played socially yesterday with my cousin and another mate. We went to Pittsworth, a nine hole country course South-West of Toowoomba. I shot 86 (par 72). It was my first game in 18 days and my iron game and putting was rusty.
Usually the course is dry with not much grass. However, there was nicely grassed fairways and everything thanks to heaps of rain. The best that I’ve ever seen it.

I hit 2 over for 9 holes tonight and last night. Got my swing back. My dad was over a few weeks ago and I think I was swinging too hard as I was trying to show off a bit after playing so well for a while. Slowed it all down and low and behold, the ball goes where it should.

Love to see the look on your face after you tee off on the first and go round the corner of the dogleg and see the green in front of you.
Played twice, made a mess of that hole twice. Same with the 2nd. It gets easier after that
No spoilers, but I'm expecting another 130+ on the cards :D
Wouldn't worry about the score just enjoy the course. Just be prepared if you are walking most holes aren’t flat

Most "flat" holes on the dunes are an optical illusion
