Thanks for that Jesse,

& i reckon there is a premiership or 3 in that list before too long. ;)

good on you Jesse - thanks for the list.

I'm feeling more confident than I was 2 months ago - but there's still a fair way to go !!!

Good to see our big man stocks are slowly improving

cheers

Lockyer_24 is posting all lists with best 22's, next best 10 players and then a player by player summary, presumably on the main board, and presumably in the next day or so.

I've done the Adelaide segment, and it was enlightening doing it, because it forced me to have a really close look at the list.

I don't think it's anywhere near the bad list that a lot of people will make out, but it certainly suffers from a lack of depth. We need our best 22 playing as often as possible to have any reasonable success.

Its certainly improving, but there is still a number of players who desperately need to shape up considerably or ship out, and stay out.

We have probably the best crop of young tall we have ever had. Next year we just have to clear out the middle-age midfield deadwood for some decent young talent & the squad will have even a better look to it.

Been saying that for a whilw - way too many arguments of who should be and shouldn't be in our best 22 to have such a bad list ;)

Still as you have said not a great deal of depth, and huge question marks over the midle group of players - may or may not stand up under the new coach.

Yes, we're only part-way through the process. We appear to have done the rucks and the KPP's - not that you'd ever knock back another young quality KPP.

As everybody appears to be thinking, you'd have to say that Adelaide will focus on quality mid-fielders in draft 2005, and there will be some good ones available in next year's draft.

The one thing I'd dearly love to have at the Crows is a CHF of the calibre of Tredrea, Brown or Riewoldt. Players that have 10+years of match-winning footy in them.

If only!! :(

That definately appears to be the thinking - lets hope that one of Krueger, Watts, Gibson, or even Maric can fulfill your dreams ;)

I know Watts has a long way to go but i did notice a couple of promising signs in his play last year in the couple of games he played in & they were that he never deviated or took his eyes off the ball when going for the ball & his desperation in his 2nd & 3td efforts, just needs natural development & coaching to take the next step & hopefully he could turn out to be someone like a Tredrea or a Riewoldt.

Guess i should add that providing we can keep him at the club for 10 years plus.

If Watts doesn't make it (which I doubt), then I'm still assured in the knowledge we will have a good CHF in the next few years.

Gibson possesses more athletic qualities than I have seen from a ruckman/forward for a long time. Match this with his large frame and presence and I'm sure he will be the goods.

Maric to me seems more like a ruckman (and a good one at that), but he can kick goals if given the chance.

I had seen him crash through packs but with a frame like his at the moment thats asking for trouble. Needs to bulk up more. I like Gibson as a CHF type better.
