You have ericpascoe coming on here saying "Unlikely to involve a player. Pick may help unlock Marchbank / Pickett" and then you have 'the media' who are saying Smedts. At this point in time I am happy to back in EP over the likes of Greg Denham.

And besides remember last year when everyone was losing their mind over the media and journalists pushing the Henderson for Josh Walker trade? They were completely wrong then and if you listen to the posters in the know on here I would suggest that the media may be wrong again this year!!
 
Both SOS and Wells seem that the deal is done. So the only reason why they haven't signed on anything is about other trades which will surely involve picks.

Don't elevate me thus! These talks move incredibly quickly. You can't assume there won't be a player in there somewhere. But I'm confident the fundamental deal is about a pick that will unlock the GWS discussion

This is why ep is respected. Doesn't argue, doesn't grandstand, doesn't elevate himself because he is privy to information now and then. Humility is far better than the gloaters and braggers who shut people down.

Whether it happens or not, much respect ep.

That's 38 & 42, not 34 & 42, and they need to make two first round picks in four years, it's not a trade limit.

Murdoch is a hack and Horlin-Smith is too slow for AFL. Smedts is worth the risk as steak knives.

No it's good old fashioned Telstra rope...tried masters but they had sold out just before I got there. Said they had a run on step ladders as well.

I'll get the bus if you'll allocate the seats to the needy....holds about 45 seated, but under the circumstances I don't think people will mind standing.

Tigers just got 24 not 27 in the official Prestia trade.

WOW...we might actually get 24 for Tuohy now. I always thought that would be an excellent result.

Or maybe more likely the Vickery compo pick actually....hmmmm

Maybe we can save on rope and take the bus off a cliff odoyle rules style. Same result but much cheaper and all sorts of awesome.

I think if Geelong unload Caddy and Smedts contract, they have room for Lids and Tuohy.

Caddy to Tiges for Lids and Vickery compo or hopefully(for us) 24.

Cats give us Smedts and either the Vickery compo pick or (hopefully) 24 for Tuohy.
