“We haven’t put him on the outer, we haven’t isolated him, he is going to be doing a lot of work. He will be around and talk (to players) once he is allowed to come back in because he is their coach.

“We have supported him I don’t think we have isolated him. He will be involved doing lots of work this year.”

Thompson said the decision was made to ensure as little distraction as possible to give players the best opportunity of playing in this year’s finals series.

“We feel that if he does get seen out on the oval and at games then the story would be about him and not the footballers,” Thompson said.

“He is back, they (the players) are going to be coached by him and they have enjoyed being coached by him and there is no reason why it is an issue.

Surely they're still going, I mean like they had nothing to hide...........or have they mounted a brass plaque highlighting the historical nature of the house to the AFL/VFL.
I can remember seeing one similar in Venice where Marco Polo was born.

I've just about had enough debating stuff with you, and I was willing to let it ride.........that is, until you post garbage like this.

I said I would keep Hird as coach even if players are suspended, because any illegal use of drugs, if it is established, was not of his doing, and he has acted with integrity throughout.

Somehow, you have tried to turn that into me not caring too much if players are suspended as long as Hird gets off.

I replied that I do not downplay the gravity of any suspension to any player, but it doesn't make Hird responsible. The responsibility lies with Dank and Robinson.

Drugs, integrity and *hird in the same sentence - something tells me that crackpot poster will be quoted in this thread for a while!
