If Hazard was sold we would spent the money wisely (like we did when we sold Mata, KDB, Luiz etc) and would be still there abouts. A very good player (like Costa, Luis, Matic, Fab etc) would have been bought. Unlike you guys we can pay the top salaries to get the top players.

If Costa was injured (like he gas been a few times) Remy and Drogba would step up (like they have).

We would still be around where we are now.

Don't think you should comparing Rodgers and Mou.
**** u and your smart transfers:mad:

No other manager would replace suarez with marquee and lambert. Forget your other signings. That's your problem. We replaced Ronaldo with Obertan :D

This is pretty much it.

We have a lot of very good players, but after losing Suarez & Sturridge we have few experienced match winners, and that's what you need to push into the top 4 and challenge for the title. Had we been successful in our attempts to sign Sanchez I think we would have seen a different story. The best sides have players who can score from few opportunities, and thus get you points even when your general play would indicate that you may not have deserved them. That's the key difference between Liverpool of last season and Liverpool of this season. We cocked up by signing Balotelli because he is not a consistent matchwinner, players like Suarez, Sanchez, Sturridge etc are.

First season under a new manager, squad not ready and let's be honest some really poor losses to opposition we would beat 8 times out of 10.

This season you're seeing us perform around the mark that we weren't close to last season. You know how we got there? Good business. Identified our targets in Matic, Fabregas and Costa, got in and got the job done with no fuss.

New manager? He's hardly new to Chelsea.

OT post here: How great is this board?

There are some stupid arguments, but surely the best group of 20-30 regular posters on BigFooty outside of some team boards?

It's like everyone knows each other.

The Essendon board are pretty good, especially with all this ASADA s**t it's really been sort of uniting.

But I agree, this board is pretty fantastic. We talk s**t to each other all the time but it's generally good natured.

Rodgers is a long way off Mou atm. But has tine on his side and has done more than Mou at the same age.

Remy/Drogba would not have cut it against the big teams. Had Costa been injured all season you'd be far worse off.

Oh yeah. Like how Drogba started in a draw at Old Trafford? The game where he scored and we were in the lead til the last minute?

Yeah they really don't cut it hey.

Agreed. Between this and the sfa I feel like I know a great core of bf posters. I don't even go on the Swans board anymore.

You really arguing that Drogba & Remy can replace Costa for half a season? Perhaps for an occasional game but not for half a season. Suggesting Sturridge missing half a season has made no difference and Chelsea not relying on Costa really tests the limits of credibility.
