I think we are all a little too conscience about Collingwoods attack, the real problem that has been bugging North all year is the midfield pressure and delivery to the forwards (which has been disgraceful). Atly has been butchering the ball going forward so he has to take a spell in the vfl, Daw's recent performances should warrant a promotion.
You can't turf Mason Wood, he obviously is a talented footballer but I feel his abilities are being wasted up to the field, perhaps it's time to trial him at full forward (quick off the mark, sure hands and a magnificent kick).

Out: Atley, Waite (possible injury)
In: Daw, Mullet (his impact will replace Atley's poor performances)

Sub should be McDonald, Dumont needs to start!

Pisses you off, doesn't it. I feel like I've been in solid form, but maybe because I've been having some issues with the law or because the coach is a bit racialist or something, I'm just not getting a look in.

You getting any offers from other BF boards?

Both you boys need to work on your tackling pressure, defensive game, hitting a target, clearences, kick-outs, goal kicking, handballing under pressure. Then who knows. Your both probably 2 weeks away & then starting as the sub.

Our game plan appears to be disjointed because the midfield is not connecting the defense with the offense and vice versa. Our midfield has been underwhelming this year and belies the talent in there albeit missing some talent at present. The defensive pressure they apply is poor and lacks intent and second and third efforts are sub par. Chief culprits are Basti and Jack. Jack needs to get smarter in the clinches instead of being a human missile aimed at the ball. When he does get he just slams it on the boot anyway but in open play he is a brilliant kick including at goals. Now I'm no coach but shouldn't it twig that Jack should be playing forward/high forward? He's wasted in the guts as an inside mid. The less said about Basti's second and third efforts the better.

I would like a change up of players playing inside and outside.

Jack to HF
Jacobs to inside mid
LMac to inside mid
Basti to HB
Wood to wing (he'll learn from last week, if not sayonara)
Gibbo to tagging

I think Jack would kick fifty and his attack on the ball in the forward line would be better served.

Jacobs and LMac in the guts with Swallow and Cunners interchanging combos between them as our extractors with Higgins, Harvey, LT, Nahas, Wells, Dal, Atley, Wood, Wright and Basti providing the run and carry. Gibbo should always tag an outside runner.

I really believe in Jacobs and LMac as inside mids because I like what I see in the clinches, both of them have issues when outside the contest.

I guess what I'm trying to saying is PLAY THEM IN THEIR RIGHT ******* POSITION

Taz on Cloke for mine. Didnt he kick a bag on Hunter last time and the time before that?

If their mids play up to capability, which they will, it will be raining leather in our b50

I'd like to see that too but just worried about Whites Athleticism on Thompson.

Atley is rubbish.

He can't kick, panics in pressure situations and doesn't get the damn thing.

Massively overrated.

Been played out of position

Have a look at my edited post...

We can't rely on bringing players in we simply don't have - but we can change our attitude.[/QUOTE]

Give me examples Blackshadow where our 'attitude' has changed in (for example) a Geelong or Hawthorn type way. Mate love your work but you're asking for cultural change that will require a root and branch approach otherwise any change in 'attitude' is a week by week proposition not a premiership/s attitude.

Yeah mate you won't get a gig, you're like me not in Brad's best 22 posters.

I work my ring off, but will have to be content with posting in the lower levels and picking up chicks from dodgy pubs .

And what's wrong with that? :stern look:

I wish I could give examples. Unfortunately from the top down we just don't seem to want it enough. We're pretty good at winning the the ball but we're hopeless at stopping good sides when they have possession, other sides pressure us but we don't pressure them.

Your damn right blackshadow.

It seems like our defensive positioning or zone positioning is up the gurgler when good sides have the ball and it's been like this ever since Scotts has been in charge. Our defense improved slightly last year but I think that was mostly due to playing more average sides(good draw).

Lets face it Scotts hasn't been able to get the best out of this side and probably never will. I just don't see how they can re-sign him or hope they don't re-sign him.

Here's a thought for the day get stuffed.

Who the **** do you think you are?

Congrats you're the first person I've told to go **** themselves this year.

Who the hell would suggest dropping Goldy, only someone who has a serious ice problem that don't know s**t about football or football players. All players are entitled to an off night, they're not ******* robots *******.

Its the players that continually put in poor performances that should be dropped.

Firstly I'm not too fussed about others thoughts

secondky he touched the ball seven times in four quarters, you do the maths.

Thirdly I'm not interested in new contracts and back slapping for fair efforts and mid table finishes.

I hear ya but Goldy has plenty of credits in the bank (mostly from recent deposits), was playing on a 33 year old star ruckman without any chop out.
