Essendon will open the floor to their members to pose questions to club leaders following yet another turbulent year for the Dons.

The Bombers sent an email to members on Friday afternoon, outlining the details of a member forum, to be held on October 29 at Etihad Stadium, and will also be streamed live on the Essendon website.

The members-only event has been framed by the club as an opportunity for the club's leaders - chief executive Xavier Campbell, chairman Paul Little and the yet to be determined new senior coach "to provide an overview of the club's strategic mission."

I always find these events illustrative. The Bombers talk - a great deal - about how big a club they are.

They all have an opinion on the internet, puffing themselves up like some particularly pathetic yet mildly venomous species of bottom dwelling fish.

But when push comes to shove, they usually only get a few hundred to these things.

And they don't realise that they reason they are confined to the bottom of the ocean is because their arses are weighing them down

Hi,
I read alternate sources to BigFooty for ASADA, and the crew at Saintsational are wondering why this data is not here yet. Refer page 730 of E’dope thread on Saintsational for more.
DISCUSSION
It has been discovered that former Essendon High Performance Manager Dean J Robinson was involved in Academic studies using statistical data prepared from Essendon Football Club and its playing staff. It is not understood why this data has not been found by others (i.e. the commercial media) to date.

It appears that former Essendon PhD staff members Mitchell Mooney and Aaron Coutts has been involved in the preparation of many 'Academic Reports' using data collected from Essendon Football Club players.

Example reports featuring Mr Dean J Robinson and Mr Mitchell Mooney are contained below. There are other Academic Report available, but their relevance to this matter has not been fully explored at this time.

To access these Academic reports, please undertake the following:

Report 1 – March 2013 Report Featuring Dean J Robinson (The Weapon)
1. Go to Google, type in "Jelinek Robinson Meta-Regression"
2. Scroll down til you find PDF file "www.researchgate.net/...Jelinek2/...meta-regression.../0c96052afed2ae81" (NOTE: It might not be on page 1 of your Google search)
3. Open the report and read it, note references to Essendon Football Club, and note the writers of the report

Report 2 – 2011 Report on Relationship b/w Physical Capacity and Match Performance in AFL. Featuring ex Essendon PhD staff Aaron Coutts and Mitchell Mooney
1. Go to Google, type in "Mooney et al 2011 relationship elite football"
2. Scroll down til you find PDF file "www.researchgate.net/...Mooney/...relationship...elite...football.../0912f5 " (NOTE: It might not be on page 1 of your Google search)
3. Open the report and read it, note references to Essendon Football Club, and note the writers of the report

Other past and present 'researchers' to note here are John Quinn (once Kevin Sheedy's right hand man) and Aaron Coutts, who is now with Carlton FC. It is suggested here that Carlton FC may have 'bought' Mr Coutts to their club, along with ex Essendon player Karl Reimers, for the possible purpose of 'gaining scientific knowledge' on how Essendon 'did its scientific research'.

Hi all,
Several months back, some Academic Reports that Dean Robinson wrote up on GPS, using Essendon FC data, were posted here. The original post is above.

Also note comments from Dustin Fletcher’s recent Herald Sun extract where he talks about “the transition from GPS to Supplements” when Dank came to the club.

Now read this from the AFL today - they have handed the GPS contract to its own company (Champion Data). Simon Leathlean and Andrew Dillon are listed as Directors of Champion Data!

The clubs are upset about it, as in effect, “Head Office” will be able to get the GPS data from all the players, via the back door.....a massive Conflict of Interest here, in saying that, the AFL is a private body, as opposed to a Government organisation.

How much is a 3 game membership?? it might be worth it for the laughs.

Dunno about you, but my sympathy stops abruptly at the thought of giving those pricks one red cent of my money. All the lols in the world aren't worth that.

http://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/2015-08-31/senior-coach-recruitment-process

Essendon Football Club has officially commenced the recruitment process to appoint its next Senior Coach.

A five person sub-committee led by Chief Executive Officer, Xavier Campbell, will oversee the appointment.

The sub-committee consists of;

  • Xavier Campbell - CEO
  • Chris Heffernan – Essendon Football Director and Premiership Player (2000)
  • Lisa Lawry - General Manager of People and Culture
  • Neale Daniher - Essendon Captain, Melbourne Coach (1998 -2007), and GM Football Operations West Coast Eagles (2008 – 2013)
  • Brad Sewell – Hawthorn Premiership Player (2008 and 2013) and AFLPA Board Member
As part of the selection process the sub-committee will also consult with a number of internal and external stakeholders.

“We have assembled the sub-committee and established a thorough recruitment process to ensure we can appoint the best person available to be the next Senior Coach of the Essendon Football Club,” Campbell said.

“When we sat down to form the panel we wanted to ensure the final sub-committee had diverse experience across the AFL industry.

“Neale, Brad and Chris understand what’s required to build a successful football culture, they have firsthand knowledge of the demands of coaching at senior level, they have a strong grasp of the day-to-day operations of a professional football club and a clear understanding of how the game is evolving.

“Lisa is an important member of the Club’s executive and will manage the recruitment process. We look forward to drawing on her vast corporate experience gained during her time at BP.”

The Club expects it will be in a position to make an announcement in October ahead of the 2016 pre-season.

“This is a particularly important decision for the football Club,” Campbell said.

“The process will take several weeks, and will conclude with the Board’s endorsement of the successful candidate.”

"General Manager of People and Culture"

Geez the job titles in this industry are a laugh. If Lisa Lawry's been in this role for the past few years it's a miracle she still holds down the position considering what's happened to their *people and culture during that time.

I'm tipping she's an addition since the doping scandal.
