A great scam the Hawks have. Sneak through the finals with some really dodgy umpiring and then play the granny on their home ground.

Yep, people don't seem to realise how much difference it makes. That early umpiring was the difference between Hawthorn being under real pressure and coasting now.

I don't think the umpires changed the result but they made this game terrible to watch.

I think they did. At least 2 goals for Hawthorn from really bad decisions and 2 goals that Fremantle did not get despite really obvious free kicks right in front of their goal.

I remember a game 9 or 10 years ago when Freo belted Collingwood by 100+, now they are lucky to score 100 in any game at all. We got a good run early and reamed for the next 2 quarters. Freo had all game to win this if they were good enough.

They weren't.
