Thought it was an interesting perspective and would I give my world for a gimbal for that camera.

That said, the biggest take away I got was the amount of times " play on was called" Not sure if it was the edits, just the way they were told to play, loose checking players on defensive side or all of the above, but it seemed like a very quick ball movement transition type of game simulation.

More 07 08 than 13 and 14.

Just an observation.

I was really looking forward to this footage, bit of match simulation, but your right, couldn't see s***. The idea was good but couldn't tell what was going on.
About 2 minutes in I had to stop it and have a lie down .
Same... great idea but god awful to watch. Couldn't pick out any players and the majority was just bouncing grass.. lasted 40 seconds

Saw a bit of Murdoch in the defence it seemed from that footage.
Let's hope it's a sign of things to come. I've been calling for him to be used off half back for almost a year.

plus a bit of R22, 2014 1st half vs the Hawks?
Still haven't watched it. Will do so tonight.

I also think he would be much better playing more of a Wing/HBF role, although I'm not sure on his defensive capability yet, but he definitely has that line breaking speed and long kick that could really hurt teams by moving the ball quickly to our forwards who would hopefully be one out.
He is not a crumbing forward, and I reckon we need at least one specialist crumber in our forward line, so he should play higher up the ground IMO.

One thing I did take away from that footage is that Guthrie appears to have been set loose.

I can see him hunting at a lot of stoppages in the red team's forward line, at one point even being trailed in by what looks like a tagger.

Hoping he is set loose and has a tank to perform consistently in the middle. Looking very tempting in SuperCoach with a possible break-out year looming.

Beat me by 34 seconds!

Love him down back. Watch the Carlton game where he made some amazing runs. PEW PEW PEW.
Him doing this kinda stuff from a back flank will be great.

Not sure I'm keen on the idea of Murdoch in the backline. Pace and long kicking can be very useful down there, however not so much when combined with poor decision making and lack of composure. Besides, there's no room there in the short and even medium term as far as I can see.
This is why I don't mind him playing off a wing pushing back into D50 to be the release player. You get the good without so much of the risk.

He kicked 22 goals last year and you want him used down back?...even in a transition year for him he snags 22,..with natural improvement the coaches should be telling him the aim is being a 30 goal player now!

Why would you want him to learn defender duties throughout 2015 given his ability to hit the scoreboard, we need better scoreboard impact this year.

They will definitely be looking to get the ball in Murdoch's hands more. I don't see decision making as his problem more reading of the game. I think he will play a pretty similar role to Motlop of previous seasons. Running back to collect the ball and launch counter attacks. He is a devastating player in flashes, he just needs to find the ball more. I can't see him playing the Atley role does at North because he does read the play well enough to impact as a loose man. We prefer Mackie or Enright in that role.

I am glad he is working with the back half, he needs.a back up plan if he is only getting 8 touches a week this year. He is a disciplined player and good size to match up with anyone - physically at least.

He is already a great tackling and pressure player, meto. I think what people are asking for is for him to be given a bit more room in which to utilise his pace- i.e wing/halfback, receive the ball on the outside then go for that dashing run, zigzagging away, and kick the goal from outside 50 or get it to a teammate inside the 50. Goal assists are almost as valuable as kicking the goals yourself.
