Interesting titbits from Richo
*1st to 4th year players back on the 5th, 5th+ from the 17th
*Players on holiday: except one. The great man Spencer has signed himself up for an altitude training camp.
*The Saints believe this is a deep draft so Rhys for pick 21 was a no brainer
*AGAIN, we'll pick the "best available"
*Tom Lee will hopefully have his first full AFL pre season, while he, Spencer, Bruce and all the rucks (Hickey, Longer, Pierce and Holmes mentioned) will hopefully fill in Rhys' gap

Happy to see White doing something off his own bat. I think a contract to 2015 has shown him that this make or break. Also, the couple of games this year may have shown him what's he really missing out on.

Two paragraphs from the same article on afl.com.au

RICHMOND
Taylor Hunt (Geelong, 23, 63 games)
Why Hunt?
Similar reasons to Robinson. Would bring midfield experience after overcoming a raft of injuries and showing promise in his initial years at Geelong. Has been involved with an elite team, has played a variety of roles including as a tagger and in defence, and is still young with his best football in front of him.
Likelihood: 10/10. Has also attracted interest from West Coast and accepted an invitation to train with St Kilda next week but his manager confirmed on Saturday that Hunt is off to the Tigers. - Jennifer Phelan

ST KILDA
Taylor Hunt (Geelong, 23, 63 games)
Why Hunt?
Midfield experience that would complement the youngsters the Saints have brought in over the past few years and will again in the November NAB AFL Draft. Would bring with him versatility and could play as a small defender and help out with run-with roles.
Likelihood: 8/10. From Beaumaris, Hunt is a local boy when it comes to the Saints' bayside heartland. Is also talking to Richmond – the club he supported as a kid – and West Coast, but might not be open to a move across the country. - Jennifer Phelan
Genius reporting there...

If you want a laugh, and have an android phone, go to the Saints app, then to the "players" section on the left hand menu. Then have a look at the pics of the players.

Its been like that for a month or so now. No idea why but theres so much "input" from the AFL website it wouldnt surprise me if the photos being wrong were outside the club. I doubt we would have their old club photos just hanging around for no reason.

"Terry Milera has quit St Kilda and returned to South Australia to be closer to family

And he has no regrets about his decision.

His wife Rachel had a serious illness last year and surgery for a collapsed lung in July......"

it makes me sad that we all bag players who are no good or not trying or we know could do better, and then find out out why.

Can't seem to upload the photo, but good to see a positive bit of PR for the club this morning with the young guns out the front of Luna Park...

Geez Blacres has some height about him now!

That's how I feel too.

Noooooo the dreads.

But for a good cause if true!

Saints looking for some youthful leadership

A WEEKEND of mystery awaits St Kilda’s young playing list at an ‘Emerging Leaders Camp’ in Canberra.

Saints Coach Alan Richardson is keeping his cards close to his chest about what the 25 players attending will be put through other than it will test them mentally and physically.

The players will attend the War Memorial on Friday and also spend time at the AIS but that is all they know at the moment with a number of surprises waiting for them in the nation’s capital.

Yesterday the Saints stopped training to commemorate Remembrance Day with club trainer Dennis Campbell, a former Navy petty officer, reading the ode to staff and players who observed a minute’s silence.
