McCartin, Brayshaw, Heeney, Mills, Dunkley, all top 5 (maybe Dunkley top 10) talents coming in this year and next... shiza.
They wouldn't take McCartin if that trade eventuated.

Need rucks and key defenders before another key forward.

True. Lever/Durdin still very handy, Durdin was expected #1 last year at some stage. Very handy.

Surely they can't let JPK go? They do already have a very good midfied and they may have salary cap issues... if this eventuates... wow.

No point being jealous of Brisbane having players like Beams and Christiansen want to come to them, too early in our strategic plan for us to want that. Sure they're getting some great players but they're also trading out of the first two rounds (less painful because of academy pick-ups in the third and fourth). That wouldn't suit us at all.

I think it's pretty clear that it's not so much luck turning for the Lions but as a direct result of all those players leaving last year - they would have heaps of salary cap space available and it's not surprising to see them suddenly become a preferred destination.

Money talks and that will serve us well when we're ready to dip into free agency.

Just how bad a bloke is Mitch Robinson? For no club to offer ANYTHING for him? The blues are going to delist him after all this.

Brisbane also lost Simon Black and Jonathan Brown in the last 12 months. Those two would have consistently been in the top 5, if not top 3, highest paid Brisbane players for the better half of a decade.
