* you should be banned…I was disappointed with the OP having them in 8th. I reckon they’ll do a Carlton thing and implode. Melbourne and Sydney top for me.

The only thing that makes this OK if the minor premiers go out in straight sets and we beat them both at home and away and then by a record in the finals and go on to win the whole thing.

The heat that Fagan will be under (with the Hawks review) will be damaging…
 
I think we’ll slide a bit but not too far - most likely bottom half of the eight.

We had a statistically improbable win rate in close games this year and in a statistically normal season would have lost several more of them. The stats will probably square up a bit next season.

Also, by finishing 3rd, we’ll have a much harder draw next season than we had this season, thanks to finishing 17th in 2021.

It's possible that we'll slide if the group doesn't improve on their 2022 output but I believe this is unlikely.

The young players will get better with another preseason and they will enter 2023 with belief that may not have existed at the start of '22.

To the poster who had crazy Vossie's team finishing 1st, please apologise for upsetting everyone.
