So with Marsh and White given a shot to audition for Clarkes spot, will they bat Marsh middle order or open with him on Friday?

Cameron White and Aaron Finch opening pair, that would send Big Footy into meltdown if they do well!
Yeah, I just realized that a few days ago. Finch and Smith should be able to bowl at least 7-10 overs together.
If that is actually our plan we should be investigated for match fixing

I reckon Dhoerty will get a chance, but won't be able to justify his place. Let's if show gets a chance and how he plays.

I thought part of the reason they desperately want Clarke to play was because of his bowling, even thought I head Boof say as much in a recent interview (which surprised me).

Well to be fair he is a decent 6th change bowler, that said he won't be fit anyway.
Saw that too.
I think boof was having a laugh.. Clarkes back is stuffed he ain't going to be bowling 10 overs any time soon. Maybe in the final if the other spinner gets tonked. Maybe.

white isnt a bowler. one of the biggest things holding him back in playing for australia is that for so long he was picked as a bowling all rounder when he didnt even bowl in the domestic comp. not that he shouldnt be in the team, he has been our best odi batter domestically for the last 2 years and averages about 35, which for the lols is only 2 less than englands greatest ever odi batter ian bell.
if we want a spinner we need to choose someone as a spinner. and i dont mean a dart slinging spud like doherty or haurits, an actual spinner like zampa, boyce, ahmwed or muirhead.
