Bolt is a troll

Seeing as you think it was a 'funeral' maybe you should stop commenting on something you have no clue about?

It's hardly surprising that people booed. They came in the middle of a work day to remember the man for his legacy. The Liberals repeatedly try and have occasionally succeeded in undoing that legacy. That passion made them celebrate Gough and disrespect the Liberals. Two sides of the same coin.

Yes, Bolt. He will. And these conservatives will still talk about the people criticising Howard, because to justify their selfishness they have to repeatedly say 'we're the victim'.

as per above.......surely a funeral "or similar occasion" is a time to show some restraint?

it is sad to see people behave that way on these occasions and even sadder to see people try and justify it

Or maybe it is a true reflection on how divisive this government really is?

Bolt dancing on Gough's still warm corpse is far, far worse than a few boo's directed towards a living PM.

yep

one dickhead gives licence to others to behave badly. surely if you respect Gough, Gough's family and the guest you would show some restraint at the funeral or similar occasion?

Did you actually watch it?

Abbott made it patently clear that he didn't want to be there at all.

His 'respect' was as shallow as Chris Pyne's gene pool.

A few people booed. Big f***ing deal.

What did they do?
Did you see it, or are you getting your information from the original bf post about the booing?

Yeah a legacy which was woeful in part and Labor undid part of themselves.

Seeing as you know it wasn't a funeral why do you keep saying 'funeral or similar occasion'. It wasn't a funeral. It was a State Memorial Service, specifically about celebrating the man and his legacy.

You and Xsess are saying 'funeral' simply to trying and make the booing seem worse. Which suggests you think the true story isn't that bad - that's why you have to spin it.

Floor Pie, the booing was from the 'true believers' outside the hall. There wasn't booing inside the actual occasion. There was a screen to watch the service outside, and there were also people fenced off near where dignitaries were entering. When Howard and Abbott entered there was some booing, when Abbott was shown on the screen in the service there was also some booing. It was a substantial amount of people, but still a minority of the crowd. As I said, that was hardly surprising in an atmosphere that was celebrating his legacy, rather than mourning the loss of someone taken too soon. The service was 15 days after Gough's death.

Thanks Ratts. You are the third poster who has actually said what happened.
Seems some people are just upset that their heroes were booed.

if you don't understand what similar occasion means, nor how o behave. then you have a lot of growing up to do.

Let the booing bogans have their moment.

God you're dim...

Bolt sunk to a new low even for him today. After abusing the Greens for their logo attached to Whitlam he has unleashed on him depite the fact he is not even in his grave. Bolt has shown he is not even independent enough to be called a columnist.

I have now decided that I will avoid the Herald-Sun altogether, which basically means I have to get my form guide somewhere else and will hurt my access to footy news, be it on-line or ina physical form.

I find it offensive you cannot be arsed finding a more accurate description of a s**t stain like Bolt.

That is what happens when an unelected leader jumps into bed with a green lunatic commie fringe group and puts a policy in place against the wishes of the majority of Australians.

Is that like how the most divisive Prime Minister in history, who is lead by his theological beliefs instead of sound policy, is booed by a few people at a State remembrance service for a PM, for whom which he is not capable of cleaning his shoes?

oh, and...

If it wasn't for RiseUp and his mates, Bolt wouldn't even have a platform. Andrew Bolt thanks the left for his high ratings.
