Me or Fev?
Obviously not you. I was referring to the Fev, the moron desperately trying to stay relevant.

Loved it...Could've been both. I kinda pulled a dick move...
... but figured he deserved it.
Would've had to slot someone else in at FF in 2010. Fev pulled his stunt at the casino in 2009 & was shipped off to the Brions.Well at the time we had a killer midfield. If development went well and some handy recruiting we could've picked Talia in 2009 and gone into 2010 with:
Walker, Jamison, Thornton
Russell, Talia, Yarran
Gibbs, Stevens, Murphy
Houlihan, Waite, Garlett
Kreuzer, Fevola, Betts
Warnock/Jacobs, Judd, Carrazzo
Scotland, Simpson, McLean, Armfield/Robinson/Grigg/Ellard/Browne
Not the worst side. As much as I think Kane Lucas adds value to our side if we just selected Talia and not gone so KPP happy in 2010 we'd have more a chance at a gun side.
The highlighted players were in their prime at 2010 too. A prime age Judd, Stevens, Scotland, Simpson with Murphy and Gibbs the youngsters will be missed. Give me a win though and I'll be trumpeting the look of Thomas, Murphy, Gibbs etc again
I wonder if Fev wrote this article while smashed at a country pub.
Anyhoo, just my 2 cents worth. GO BLUES!!
He's not right, nor can he write.Fev can write?!!
I didn't agree with much of what he wrote, other than the part that I quoted & his comments about the Elliott era.I did not see yours when composing mine MSR but have to disagree for above reasons

Shame on you Teddy Hopkins for manufacturing a story out of nothing! How long have you been waiting to use the 'I Am' invitation dig - you know full well the 'Carlton' was a given and leaving it off was something the marketing boys did for effect. As for suggesting we are becoming the Malthouse Blues show - WTF : do you forget who YOUR coach was!

In this context, the Malthouse genius was selling a game plan and team structure that he publicly declared would result in a 10 per cent and more improvement in the team's performance. How the board and media glibly accepted this statistical nonsense is bewildering. But that's part of the problem.
During my time as the founder and head of the statistical company, Champion Data, I visited all clubs for briefing and sales purposes.
The company was started in 1996 and visiting Carlton, I found, it was the stodgiest and least-receptive club in terms of accepting and listening to innovations.
That's not his point, the claim of a '10 per cent+ team improvement' is not founded on statistics, it's a baseless claim so there's no contradiction. And he is right on that point, though I am not sure I believe Malthouse ever publicly declared this. But the best part of that was:

Seems statistics are nonsense unless provided by Champion Data.

No, definitely the Elliott era:Don't you mean the Harris era?
On the Henderson trade.
Still bitter.
No, definitely the Elliott era:
"I found, it was the stodgiest and least-receptive club in terms of accepting and listening to innovations. The club had endured the John Elliot horror show and the fallout and suspicion was palpable."

There is little doubt that Elliott thought he was the only one capable of being innovative & that any ideas which weren't his own were treated with contempt.
