I think you could safely say Darcy will never be asking to be traded elsewhere.

There are are few posters on this board that would absolutely celebrate if Moore refused the nomination & elected to enter the draft - rejecting Collingwood.

I personally believe that we will be made to use pick 8 in the draft and although not an absolute bargain, it is not a stretch either (about right), he could still be the best player out of this draft.

the 1 thing us supporters can hope for is that this year seems to be the biggest year for available talent through trade. which means clubs may be reluctant to be locked into using their early pick before trade week begins - in the hope that they may be able to use it to nab a big fish or even a quality kid from GWS/GC.

Why? His Dad has publicly stated he wished he stayed at Collingwood, and that if he had more informed advice at the time he would have stayed.
He also urged Travis Cloke to stay a one club player at the time of his last contract, advice I'm sure he has given to Darcy.

I hope he is, Peter has said leaving Collingwood was one of the biggest mistakes in his life. I am not a parent but as a parent don't you try and make sure your children do not make the same mistakes you did in life?

National Recruiting manager of Carlton, Shane Rogers admitted that the Blues interviewed likely father/son key forward/defender Darcy Moore yesterday at the draft combine ahead of Friday's bidding, saying "we interviewed him yesterday, and it's fair to say he's a really good kid," Rogers said of Moore.

"He's hot, hugely intelligent, probably too intelligent for some of the recruiters interviewing him, but yeah he (Moore) is obviously in the frame for our pick six."
