No one can question Derm's passion for the Hawks. It was just he along with the rest of the media under-rated the pain of 2011/12 and the internal strength required to not lose twice to the same stained filth in a GF.

When comparing eras, this is one thing the current crop has over the 80s one.

That's not fair. It was different stained filth. The stained filth of the 80s was a pretty good side who made sniping a profession. The stained filth of the last three years were just cheating stained filth with a few ageing snipers thrown in.

In my eyes, Dermie, Chief, Lethal, etc, have all earned the right to say precisely what they think about the Hawks.

Brereton's stance is an interesting one, but eventually when we do slide, he can say, "I picked this five years ago"
