Figured I'd get this going before people forgot their teams!

V1 Drafters, please post your teams in formation and with a short paragraph (ie 100-150 words) defending your selection, I'll post them in the OP as I've done with my own.

Everyone else, once the teams are all posted pick the 3 best, most votes wins.

thorne89 (4-4-2 Diamond):

-------Sanchez-----Bony-------
--------------Ramsey------------
---Mirallas-------------Walcott--
-------------McCarthy-----------
Kolarov--Fonte--Vlaar--Debuchy
----------------Hart---------------

Quality all over the park. Sanchez and Bony speak for themselves up front, superstars. Ramsey will be an assist machine. Mirallas and Walcott the magicians on the wings, Theo especially underrated due to his recent injury issues. McCarthy, one of the most underrated players in the league, is a workhorse and the perfect bloke to play defensive mid with a great work ethic and never say die attitude. Kolarov and Debuchy were late bargain pick ups and quality defenders in their own right. Fonte is one of the leading CBs in the league this season and Vlaar dominated the WC to the extent where Villa were getting offers left right and centre. Goals is where the Hart is.

Loonerty (4-2-3-1):

-----------Cech-------------
Clyne-Cahill-Skrtel-Bertrand
-----Schneiderlin-Mikel-----
--Berahino-Tadic-Schurrle--
----------Aguero------------

Best player in the league leading the line. Dusan Tadic, Saido Berahino and Andre Schurrle provide a threatening attacking midfield trio, covered by the defensive solidity provided by John Obi Mikel with Morgan Schneiderlin beside him. In defence the mightily impressive full back pairing from Southampton of Nathaniel Clyne and Ryan Bertrand, with two good centre backs who both pose a serious threat on set pieces. Finally the captain, in goal is Petr Cech, still only 32 and capable of performing at a high level.

Bluesman (4-2-3-1):

----------------Begovic---------------
Sagna-Alderweireld-Shawcross-Gibbs
------------Song-Wanyama-----------
---Milner--------Ozil--------Hazard---
-----------------Pelle------------------

Set up in a 4-2-3-1, With two DM's, and a RW, CAM and LW. The set up and player contingent allows for a strong defense and powerful running ability with the ball going forward. Add to that the silky touch of Ozil, as well as the pace on the wingers (and fullbacks) this team really has lots of opportunities to score. A couple of aspects I would like to draw attention to is firstly the positioning of players; they're in favoured positions. This ensures familiarity with roles and faster cohesion within the team. Secondly, it's a physically strong side, that won't be pushed off the ball easily. Therefore winning the ball back will be held firmly in the players mind. More over, strong and tall bodies in the box make our attacking set pieces dangerous for opposition sides.

When talking players, you would feel very confident as a back 4 with Song and Wanyama sitting in front of you running everywhere and all day. Milner also is highly capable of running both ways. Pelle up front has very good touch and class for a strong lad. He provides a focal point in the air and when passed the ball to around the outside of the box. And what else more to say about Hazard and Ozil, really would be something special seeing these two play off each other passing and running at defences. Add in a reliable keeper like Begovic the team is well rounded. The team physically can handle the rigours of the Premier League and is evenly spread with no lack of talent in any position which is why this team can go all the way!

Tulip (4-2-3-1):

------------Forster------------
Jaanmat-Kompany-Rojo-Shaw
-----Henderson-Wilshere-----
Willian------Oscar-----Bolasie
------------Falcao-------------

It's all about balance, for me. A defensive winger in Willian compensates for two forward thing dynamic CMs, whilst Bolasie has been the surprise package of the season with his pace and accurate crossing. Oscar speaks for himself as a playmaker, whilst I think a few lean months on the way back from an ACL shouldn't allow people to forget how good Falcao is up front. Kompany is the best CB in Europe, Rojo made the team of the World Cup and Janmaat is a great defender with Shaw very good going forward. Forster is a very good 'keeper between the sticks, who should arguably be England's #1.

ADL9798 (4-3-3 False 9):

----Sterling-----------Cazorla----
-------------Fabregas------------
-------Coutinho---Lallana--------
-----------Fernandinho-----------
Clichy-Demichelis-Terry-Coleman
--------------Howard-------------

Joga Bonito. You're going to have to bring your own balls if you want to have a kick against this team. Secretary of Defence inbetween the sticks behind a very solid central defensive trio in Terry, Demichelis and Fernandinho, flanked by 2 very capable fullbacks out wide. Ahead of them you have 5 players blessed with exceptional skill, touch and vision who will be playing through Fabregas at False 9 (as he has done with Barcelona & Spain to great effect) and working to drag defences all over the place. No out and out striker but I think this team will create more than enough opportunities that a traditional CF capable of scoring from a single half chance in 90 minutes won't be necessary.

Cruyff14 (4-2-3-1):

---------De Gea---------
Walker-Reid-Sakho-Azpi
------Matic-Sissoko-----
---Lamela-Gylfi-Mane---
----------Kane-----------

Pretty well balanced side. World class goalkeeper and left back. Two strong CBs who aren't afraid to get stuck in. Best DM in the league in Matic who can read the game exceptionally well and a brilliant tackler. With Sissoko beside him, he'd be in B2B role who'd also help out Matic when teams are pressing forward, and can pop a few in as well. Plenty of pace and trickery on the wings and both players being able to score from wide positions. Gylfi in the middle who has great vision and isn't afraid to hit them from 25 yards, with Kane in front who works hard but scores too and has become one of the best strikers in the league.

BojanKantKick (3-1-3-3):

-------------Valdes-------------
--Smalling-Zouma-Mangala--
-------------Blind---------------
-----Ox--Barkley--Eriksen----
--RVP------Costa----Rooney--

From the Ajax football school of Rinus Michels and Johan Cruyff, the 3-1-3-3. Adaptations of this great tactic are still seen throughout Europe, notably by LVG teams, Pep and Barca. In order for the system to work, the three centre halfs must be quick and reasonably accomplished on the ball. Mangala, Zouma and Smalling fit this criteria. The Ajax no.6 role is taken by Daley Blind, who coincidently played in this very role last season at Ajax and has been at DM this year for United. Daley is the perfect choice in this system as ball retention is important. In goal, one of the best keepers in Europe over the last 10 years in Victor Valdes.
In the midfield, i have pace, power and precision. Ox has been the second best player for Arse beside Alexis this season. His pace and direct running scare the s**t out of most defenses. Barkley is the box to box midfielder that thrives in this system, linking with Daley and the forwards. Ericksen? a contender for player of the season in my eyes, the creativity of my midfield trio would go nicely with my powerhouse forwardline. RVP and Rooney do their best work as inverse forwards cutting in on their preferred foot. And then the big Doooooog up top. Costa will stamp the s**t all over every defence in the league creating space for my mids and other strikers to run into. Campaigners like Skrtel and Can won't stand a chance....or stand at all.

An added beauty of my team is it's flexibility. Move Daley to left back, Barks to DM and Roondog to AM and you have a 4-4-2 diamond. Think of a combo of prime tiki taka Barca and Pep's Bayern and that's what you're looking at. Amazeballs

Jatz (4-2-3-1):

-------------Courtois----------------
Trippier-Koscielny-Williams-Schlupp
---------Jedinak-Lampard-----------
AJohnson-----Mata--------Downing
-------------Sturridge---------------

One of the best goalkeepers and strikers in the league. The underrated Downing in there with Mata and Johnson. Jedinak to sit back with Lampard playing B2B. Koscielny and Williams both experienced with Trippier and Schlupp both capable of getting forward when need be.

NFGKizza (4-2-3-1):

------------Lloris-------------
Zaba-Jones-Vertonghen-Luis
--------Besic-Diame---------
---Navas---Yaya---Chadli---
-----------PAPISS------------

it's just a well balanced team. a top class goalkeeper, with a really stable defense in front of him. the 2 midfielders, besic is the defensive hardman and diame was absolutely killing it before his injury, playing both ways with ease. navas provides pace down the right, yaya of course is yaya and behind the striker has to be considered his best position. chadli has been in exceptional form for spurs, seeing his abilities click. finally it's the senegalese monster cisse. one of the best goals to minutes ratios around, he's extremely reliable and a great shot. just ask petr cech.

Sozabarus (4-2-3-1):

-------------------Krul------------------
Ivanovic-Mertesacker-Coloccini-Baines
------------Carrick-Ramires------------
------Silva------Nasri-----Di Maria-----
-----------------Dzeko-----------------

You've got to hold and give, but do it at the right time. You can be slow or fast, but you must get to the line. They'll always hit you and hurt you, defend and attack. There's only one way to beat them, get 'round the back.

Votes should be deducted from people who misspell their players names.

The bolded things suggest otherwise.
