EPL match day 21

I'm confident we'll be fine. Top4 doesn't look as assured as it did a few weeks ago. We were lucky to win at Soton so swings and roundabouts this morn.
You guys looked like you were heading towards 3rd a few weeks back, suddenly you are right back in the fight and the top 4 is still wide open. Saints, your lot, Arsenal, Spurs and us all battling it out.

Yep, just when i thought we'd put the foot down, we've been avg.

Anyone actually get the feeling SAF knew that United was about to go on a free fall with an aging, stale squad and ownership who (at that time) were unwilling to compete with Chelsea and City financially ?

Fergie always was a wily old fox, reckon he knew what was coming and that's why he 'retired'

And, no way in hell would Pep G leave a Euro powerhouse like Bayern Munich to manage a fallen giant that is seemingly in free fall like Man U.

LVG is also on massive amount of coin, no way are the Glazers going to sack him and pay him out anytime soon

No, he was in his 70s and has been having health problems. He didn't have many problems beating city and chelsea without spending as much.
He's one of the greatest managers of all time. After 26 years and the moyesiah, utd are hurting. LVG is rebuilding the club after a mini disaster. He won't be sacked unless we miss top4.

I think most people could tell that's what was about to happen and SAF was no different. After winning the title once more, there was no reason to go on.

United can match Chelsea and City financially though.

I think Fergie knew how much strife they were in when he signed Van Persie and he basically carried United to the title.

Plus missing out on Hazard and signing Kagawa instead. Knew it was probably going to start going badly sooner or later.

Koeman is going to be the next big manager.

what a man
There's no love loss between Koeman and LVG so this win would've been very satisfying.

It's funny that LVG is on exactly the same points with a worse goal difference than Moyes at the same time last year, the only saving grace is that because Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton are floundering Man U find themselves in the top 4 and not 7th.

Fergie never believed in paying too much for a player (Van Persie was a good price), while city and Chelsea payed above odds to keep themselves around the mark, so for all his brilliance he didn't see the writing on the wall (he just can't be replaced).
