One of the most craziest things I have seen in the NBL

How a ref can adjudicate whether the defender should have had enough strength to keep his feet me when there is a substantial amount of contract is beyond me.

Neither was anywhere near a flop and I'm a Wildcats supporter.

In fact, with every ejection for a flop they should also force an hour session at the gym with nothing but leg weights and core strength training.

Regardless of the contact if you throw yourself back like you've been hit by a moving car then at best you'll get no call, at worst a flop.

Piss weak thing to do.

Nice to see the amateurish game presentation standards are being maintained. Today's game had the Melbourne tigers listed in the ladder and no game score/clock for the entire last quarter.

This was the problem, it wasn't that there wasn't some contact, it's that he went flailing as if hit by something well beyond the level of contact.

Nice.
Trying to change back without anyone knowing. :)

Another win to the Taipans, what a win over there v the Breakers.
Looking at the stats it looks as though Wilbekin and Weigh had most of the scoring handled while Loughton and Burston rebounded well.

At home next game.

Even NBL.tv doesn't screw up that bad, nice to see the TLC that Ch10 takes with the coverage.

I seriously can't stand the Steve Carfino, watched him play as a kid and he wasn't all that he makes out he was too one sided to the Kings.

Andrew Gaze is a fair commentator

Taipans are looking very very dangerous this year, 5-0 is a great start and they don't look like slowing.

Keep this up and they're back to the Grand Final after a couple years away.

Just good to see my money isn't being wasted on stupid name changes or risky imports.

Suspect that's the last Australia will see of ex-NBA star Childress for a couple of weeks at least.

Pretty massive overreaction to a fair screen by Wagstaff. Does he have a history of that stuff?

Fair screen? Massively off the ball and unwarranted. Wagstaff got what he deserved!

3 game suspension fort Childress though would be fair.

If Wagstaff "got what he deserved" then why would a suspension for Childress be fair? And if a suspension for Childress is fair, but a suspension for Wagstaff isn't, then what precisely did Wagstaff deserve? In what universe is a hard pick remotely comparable to a flying elbow at a player in the middle of a shot?

And since when did a screen being on-ball or off-ball matter to being a fair, legal screen?

Engage in some critical thinking before you just spout off!

Childress deserves a suspension becuase he clobbered a guy. Wagstaff dersvered to be clobbered becuase his hard screen was unwarranted/unecessary. The terms are NOT mutually exclusive.

Never said an elbow and hard screen were comparable.

What was the purpose of the Wagstaff screen?

Bold to get Beal free and open for a jump shot, happens in every game.

Not sure you are being serious to be honest, or just trolling, poor effort if so.

Wagstaff was screening for Beal, who Childress was guarding. Beal took off past Wagstaff, who set the screen, Childress ran right into him because he noticed Beal moving late and was hustling. This also cause the head to shoulder upright. Childress dropped, opening up Beal, while Wagstaff himself got free because Cody Ellis lost contact with him and was guarding the wrong part of the key. Ball went to Beal, who fed it into Wagstaff because he had the higher percentage shot (which he made).

As a play, it worked to an absolute T, pass into the key between two open players, made shot. That's leaving aside the converted and-one and possession.

Not sure how much basketball you've played/watched. Screens off the ball are often warranted and in fact are pretty commonplace. The fact Childress didn't see it coming doesn't make it unfair.
