Number 5......some ripping recent players that have worn this jumper.

Hard to go past Juddy but McKay, Sheldon, Jackson and even Gerald Burke were all seriously good players!

Also worth noting the bloke I thought was the scariest unit to pull on a Blues jumper wore it.....Steve Da Rui!! This bloke was a tank!!

Steve Da Rui was in interesting player.
Played in the late '80's. Recruited from WA and was built like a brick s**t house.

Off course there is Juddy, and who can forget Andy McKay
Love Kenny Sheldon - one of the mosquito fleet from the late '70's and early '80's, and Syd Jackson.

Some seriously good players have worn #5.

And a special mention to Josh Kennedy. Still love ya JK!

Sorry Juddy...but for me it's McKay. I love him so!

Whoa........controversial!!!!!!

A few years back I took my kids to the Monster Truck show at Rod Laver. To my shock sitting in front of us was Andy McKay and his kids! Great night of loud noise, big vehicles destroying smaller vehicles and a demolition derby at the end!! :)

I know I have relayed this story too many times here but i witnessed Da Rui nearly kill Tuddenham junior in a reserves game one day at Victoria Park. The sound when he crashed through him was horrific. He got stretchered off and never returned!

Doesn't surprise me.
I recall him cleaning up someone at Princes Park one day, but I can't even remember who we were playing that day. Could have been North Melbourne.

I think it all depends on who you grew up watching. I love Juddy, I really do...but I can't go past my childhood favourites!

I forgot Sheldon and Kennedy wore the No. 5 but for me it is McKay, loved the fact he played football at the highest level whilst studying a veterinarian degree in another state and was married. And to top it off and nice bloke. So happy he is back at the club at the highest level.

Nothing less than Juddy winning the Norm Smith :)

Anyhoo, it's Sheldon who'll be remembered in 100 years time - Harmesy had to tap the ball to someone. :p

Macca is the best medium defender we've had.

I'll settle for that. As long as not under the same circumstances as his first!
