Grundy used to be our whipping boy, he's been so good an consistent this year that I've grown love for the big man, what a solid defender, an rampe has made up for that horrible mo with some good play, players like Josh Bruce, gunston, an stringer are ideal for ramps, I honestly feel lucky we have him sometimes, especially with mal gone
Maybe yours and others, but not mine. Find a post where ive had a crack at him. WHILE YOU TRY AND SEARCH THE SEASON WILL BE OVER. sorry about the capitals

Id love hanners to win the brownlow

Id just like him to hit a target too
I was there he did and FWITW he gets the ball at the coalface and i'd rather that than a gutless squib hanging out on the boundary line

I may be crazy but i think B Jack should play finals at this stage

Tackles well, can kick, runs hard

If he could snag a goal or two would be good
Agree, his tackling and pressure is ferocious. Does a lot of things that don't count as stats, lovely inside 50, can run and kicks low long bullet passes that leave scorch marks on the grass. The pressure for the last few spots is immense and the young guns are putting up their hands.

1. Hanners will ALWAYS spray his first kick for goal to the left. It's his MO
2. Hanners chasing is off lately. Perhaps he just runs so much he's knackered when the ball turns over
3. Hanners is what he is and IMO he's a vital cog. His worst is still better than many
3. Tippet is channelling Mummy but with greater goal kicking prowess. Brute work at all levels. Scary dude. Love that he's just smashing things. I suspect being injury free for a while is bringing up the confidence. Let's hope it lasts.
3. BJ and Heeney. A nice pair to have forward.
3. Grundy, Tippet, Sam Reid & Mike Pyke seem to be clunking a lot more contested marks.
3. Mitchell is kicking more and it's paying off.
3. Buddy will be better for the run

1. Cunningham showed guts running into an aerial sandwich which injured Reiwoldt and left another saint on the ground (and he did it without raised knees ala Sam Mitchell style). Thought previously he skirted contests however my opinion has changed now as that was courageous.
2. Grundy has improved out of site this season and rarely if ever makes clangers anymore. I used to comment a few times about turnovers previously and think he is one of the most reliable kicks and vital players in the team these days.
3. Wish Goodes would be more selfish at times. Running into an open goal 45m out directly in front and rather than kicking the goal tries to bring Buddy into the game however misses the pass into the pocket. Maybe that's the limitation as he kicked the set shot 50m later in the game.

I had a look over the win/loss. We only lost to one bottom 8 side all year.

Interesting fact the lowest team we conceded defeat to this year was eleventh - equal 9th on % - (Geel). The only side with a better record are Freo who haven't lost to anyone outside the 8.

Meanwhile,

Tigers lost to Melb and Geel
Hawks lost to Coll, Ess, Port twice, GWS
Adel lost to GWS, Geel
North lost to GCS, Coll and Port
WC drew with GCS and lost to Port
Dogs lost to Geel, Port, Melb twice! Stkilda

Prob doesn't mean a helluva lot. But I don't think our record is as bad as it looks.
