They've had it too easy all year and when they lost games late in the year just believed they could turn it on when they want to and win games.

Hocking coming out and saying he was preparing footballers for AFL not trying to win a flag was thinking that seems to be in this group. Tim Ginever would be spitting blood at this two bob millionaire attitude.

Mental application is not good enough.

Flynn and heath have had shockers. Flynn needs to learn its not rugby. If uou are tackled, ******* get rid of it

Put simply Heath should not have played, but we can't blame a bloke whose career is on the line for putting his hand up for selection.

A half decent game and he was an outside chance of staying on the list, but regardless of tonight's performance he is probably goneski anyway.

Gut full of whiskas here, overall completely pathetic you have to question the coach here imo!

over the top.

we were honestly a ruckman away from winning , and had a few players running around like chickens with their heads cut off. one of renouf/redden fit , just two of regulars such as moore/mitchell/neade and we would have won by a margin. not to mention playing an injured player short. all that aside falling by 2 goals to one of the dominant teams of the past 4 years in sanfl isnt exactly the point we should be freaking out.

Their last quarters all year have seemed (from across the border) to be pretty poor with teams surprisingly kicking multiple goals against us late in games without resistance.
Would probably reflect the young age profile of the group.

This. I was actually surprised that both Shaw and Harvey had to ruck so much, thought that we had one other... But anyway, Shaw could play AFL tomorrow. Its really a joke he hasn't had a go yet

Are those guys eligible if the Power drop out?

Norwood have been premiers the past 2 years, we had 11 players under 21 years old, under a new system that had most players never played with each other before. We will be back. Good lesson today about how to play finals football

I'm going for the glass half full approach as well, one qtr of decent footy was enough to show the Maggies can match it with the deadlegs, and a tough prelim against southern siberia ( with a win? ) could be better than most of them gazing into the never never for another two weeks contemplating the future.

As much as it pains me to say this, the Port Magpies now are the Power reserves and there's a difference. They do as much as they think they have to, they don't go above and beyond the call of duty like the Magpies would.

It's not fitness and it's not reflective of the Power team. It's a particular mindset of a reserves side.

Got smashed in the ruck & centre in the last qtr, would've been nice to have Redden, Butch or even Renouf to give the side a bit more experience in the height department.

Should've played Mitchell even though there's a slim chance he could be needed tomorrow, he might've made of a difference & he's the type that could back it up with a sub effort if White doesn't get up.

Norwood are a class hardened side, i'm going to cop it from a Legs supporter mate of mine which sucks.
