We do produce a lot of young talent, but they all seem to take a couple of years to come on (Bancroft, Bosisto, even Harris before he regressed). Obviously hoping Beaton or Turner can come good but after making the final the past two years, it looks like a tough season. Losing three batsmen to international duties has really hurt because the depth just isn't there yet.

And he was bowling to the likes of Beaton, Bosisto, Whiteman, Agar etc, all young guys still prone to losing their heads.

Missed the end of this and the test, but good win for the Vics. Very good start to the season 
I went along to this game on the Saturday for a few hours. Took my boy to the nets and watched Quiney, Handscomb and Finch have a hit and got pics with them all. Then had a chat with Hogan on the boundary and got a pic with him too. Good day for him. I was keen to watch Dean bat and missed his entire innings walking from the nets to the hill
