Counter-attacking cricket is fun to watch but feel like recently we getting a few more of these innings when teams are in a tough predicament and it paying off. Makes test cricket even better to watch
Yep - I'm not even considering flicking over to the Big Bash, as it's so inferior to this.

Reminiscent of Michael Clarke's 150 in the 47 game

Not a ‘but hey hang on comment’ because that Clarke innings was absolutely sensational, but what stood out by the end of that game, almost like all the air went out of the tyres, was how easily SA ran down the final target. 240-2 at nearly 5 an over with smith and Amla making hundreds in a canter.

It was like both teams were in shock at what had happened in the previous innings

Probably game over. Would have liked to see a couple of early wickets just to see if there was any possible wobble from India. Interested to see how the pitch gets rated. Honestly don’t think it’s been THAT bad - not four sessions plus change bad, that’s for sure anyway, but can see why it’s going to cause plenty of debate in the days that follow

Again we are seeing an example of why - and I don’t think SA have ‘doctored’ the wicket for what it’s worth - teams with a fairly clear advantage on paper over a visiting team, should ever logically try and exaggerate that advantage to an extreme level as it simply brings the other team into the game in a way that they probably otherwise may not have been able to do

Sad we won't get a deciding test feels like both sides will be disappointed with a 1-1 draw, as for pitch it's a shithouse deck and will deserve all criticism it gets im all for giving bowlers something but this was just straight up bad for game.
