Should we say that as a maximum you can drop one Essendon player before round 1? That way you can replace a player, but you cant take advantage of getting say 5 replacements before anyone else.

Because then over the weekend you can apply for waivers, and it goes back to being fairer (on reverse draft order)

What bacon is saying is once the essendon decision is handed down, if they get 2 years, everyones going to throw their essendon players on the pile, however whoever finds out first is going to get the best remaining FA before anyone else has the opportunity.

I intentionally did not draft Essendon players because of the risk. If you drafted them, don't you take that risk?

Yes the risk that you have to drop them and pick someone up. Thats still well and truly there.

This is more essendon pickers v essendon pickers.

Just dont think its fair for someone to get the news earlier than someone else and is able to offload their 5 essendon players for the 5 best FA targets while someone who is say at work misses out on all the good ones. I know you'll say "well thats like any thursday night at selection" but its a bit more than that, because it wont just be 1 player coming back from injury or something, itll be a whole slab of players.

I dont have any, so its completely unbiased point of view.
