Thanks to all the baby bonus christmas money and a bit of a mini gang feud that broke out amongst some of the local boys last Friday night, the bottleshops up here are now restricted to a 3 hour window a day to sell fullstrength piss.

It's almost easier to get hold of weed than alcohol at the moment.

I finally watched the Dark Knight tonight.

Heath was absolutely brilliant. Completely stole every scene he was in - completely stole the whole movie actually. Forget Best Supporting Actor, he should win an Oscar for best starring role. Every time he wasn't on-screen I found myself wishing the movie would hurry up and get to his next scene.

Is Two-Face dead though? I reckon he'll be back next movie but all the other people I watched the movie with reckon he's dead. I reckon they're dumbasses.

Haha yeah, if they only sold weed instead of alcohol up here there'd be a lot fewer social problems.

But the funny thing is if they had complete prohibition it would be easier to get hold of some illegal moonshine than it is to buy legal alcohol at the moment.

A Quick Recipe for Making Moonshine

The basic ingredients:

corn meal
sugar
water
yeast
malt

The basic process:

Mix all ingredients together in a large container. After mixing, move the mixture, called "mash," into a still and leave it to ferment. How quickly this process occurs depends on the warmth of the mash.


Heat the mash to the point of vaporization at 173 degrees. The mash will produce a clear liquid, often the color of dark beer. You must watch this process with careful attention.

Trap vapor using a tube or coil. The vapor will be transferred into a second, empty container. The resulting condensation is the moonshine. It is then ready to drink or sell.

Keep mash in container. It is now called "slop." Add more sugar, water, malt, and corn meal and repeat the process.

Repeat the process up to eight times before replacing the mash.

I've come to the realisation that my computer is smarter than me. Three times I tried to change the time in the weeks after daylight savings started and three times it reset it next time in restarted. Then I found the box you have to tick to allow for daylight savings.

The question that raises is - if the computer already knows what time it is why does it allow me to change it, only to switch it back when I'm not looking? Is it deliberately trying to f**k with my head or what?

One tried to tell me today that Ben often had his head shaved, that his recent haircut was nothing unusual I googled Cousins in images and could not find one single photo ever without his little semi mohawk.
